“Evil Gods of the Elites” är Skeumorph Plauges mest apokalyptiska och kompromisslösa verk hittills — ett konceptalbum som skildrar mänsklighetens sista tid i en värld styrd av osynliga härskare, uråldriga gudar och maskerade makter som manipulerar civilisationens slutskede.

Omslaget, med sin elektriska rift av blått ljus i ett annars bottenlöst mörker, speglar albumets kärna: en spricka i himlen där de sanna härskarna visar sig. Här föds den nya ordningen — kall, främmande, gudlös.

The Smog of Tomorrow

A relentless metalcore assault inspired by the intensity of Avenged Sevenfold's "Nightmare," this track captures the psychological warfare of battling your own demons. Built on a foundation of syncopated, groove-heavy guitar riffs in Drop C tuning and punishing double bass drumming at 140 BPM, the song alternates between aggressive, screamed verses and soaring melodic choruses that hit with arena-ready power.

The lyrics explore the descent into darkness when the monsters you've been fighting turn out to be the ones you created yourself. "I'm the monster that I swore I'd never be / Now the nightmare's staring back at me" – it's about that moment when you realize the prison you're trapped in was built by your own hands. The bridge strips everything down to a haunting half-time section with whispered vocals before exploding back into a crushing breakdown with gang-shouted rallying cries.

Featuring technical harmonized guitar leads, dynamic tempo shifts, and a brutal half-time breakdown, "Consumed By The Dark" balances melodic accessibility with groove-metal precision. The production emphasizes clarity and punch, targeting modern streaming standards while maintaining that raw, aggressive edge that makes metal hit hard.
