"Mo ghrá go daingean thú, lá dá bhfaca thú"

Caoineadh Airt Uí Laoghaire is regarded as one of the greatest love poems in the Irish language. Poem was written in 1773 by Eibhlín Dhubh Ní Chonaill, at the sudden death of her husband, Airt Ó Laoghaire. 
Recently translated by Paul Muldoon in 'Lamentation', I have set this macaronic text to music and incorporated a verse of Muldoon's.
