Moon Tripper (BMSS Records) Live @ Spiriterritory Psychedelic Trance Livestream II

What started out as an attempted reconstruction of a set played at a special friend's birthday, turned into a exploration of some of my favourite music collected over the last two years. Some old, some new but all guaranteed to get you moving - expect fun and bubbly psy with a health dose bouncing basslines. 

As we're all trying to rediscover what normal feels like, I hope this set helps you all to recolonise the spaces that were once held dear (and maybe even taken for granted!), proverbial mushroom spores travelling the galaxy looking for new, yet familiar, homes. 

All artists supported via bandcamp - give me a shout if you'd like to know the names of any songs, doubt I'll get around to compiling this tracklist :)

Dark energy is one of the great unsolved mysteries of cosmology. It is now thought to make up 68% of everything in the universe, with normal matter only comprising a mere 5%, with the rest consisting of dark matter, another huge cosmic mystery.

Dark energy does behave like Einstein’s anti-gravity force, but its nature and origin remain unknown. One of its greatest mysteries is why dark energy started to dominate the rate of expansion of the universe at a particular point in time billions of years after the Big Bang. If it exists now, why wasn’t it there all along?

DJ Doc's exclusive set for radiOzora starts on 4th January 2014 Tuesday 8pm CET on the Trance channel.

Dj Doc has been a pioneer for the Greek trance community and has been considered one of its founders by introducing psychedelia in a booming underground scene back in 1996. He has been driven by this culture his whole life, thus he has been travelling around the world and has played from small jungle and beach parties in Goa ,Thailand, Mexico and Australia to big clubs and open air festivals in Europe & Japan. His sets are the breathtaking result of years-long experience and are synonymous with an eclectic, varied spectrum of sound, always featuring exclusive tracks from the best producers of the world. The finest psychedelic trance Dj Doc joined Harmonia records from Athens at 2007 and his primary goal was to support with his djsets, the local scene by introducing to the world new Greek artists by combining the passion and energy of the young producers with the knowledge and experience of the well established artists. Sérgio Leitão aka Hydra-E was born in Porto on the 2nd of April 1982 in Portugal. Started with music when he was still young by influence of his family. Played several instruments, he was also was a member of a rock band by the age of 14. The taste for eletronic music was also very strong. And he started mixing metal music in a disco in Viseu by the age of 18. The paralel interest in trance made him continue exploring new kinds of sounds. Played dj for many years. Psyd3lik was the name of the project. Played in same stages as yab yum alien project and many other artist trough these years. The knowledge of all the genres he heard for all these years made Hydra-E.
A twilight psychedelic trance. Filled with psy influences. Floating grooves. And evolving ambients.

The Swamp is Mo:Dem's home for Dark Progressive, Psy Bass, Dub, Breaks, Techno, Glitch and other various styles of music. With PSYCHEDELIC as only common denominator and DANCE as the main philosophy behind it. Bhunga Roo 2018 @ Odyssey Tribe (Our Minds Music)

This was a very special set I played at the Universo Paralello Teaser at Trance Orient Express in Ruigoord, Amsterdam!
In the timetable, I was playing the closing set as Marciana (Psychedelic Techno). During the whole night, the music played was Psytrance which went quite fast at some point, and by the time of my set at 7am, people still wanted more! Since I only had 1 hour of set more or less, there was not enough time to make a transition from faster Night Psy into slower PsyTechno. So this is what happened:
In the first half, I played a classic Back to Mars morning set, to then include a long storm sample and from there, switch into Marciana and Psychedelic Techno 🙂
Never did this before, but it was awesome!

Halfway to the Moon: Vol2 - Night time psytrance

A ferociously silly creature emerges from the uncut grass, pointed snout canvassing the dancefloor to find the sweet-spot of intersecting frequencies. He straddles the fence between forest and nightpsy, outputting groovy, introspective basslines that ride the crest of intoxicating leads and gurgling synths. After 12 years of declaring "I have that song", he's finally ready to blindly lead hippies into the unknown.
