Ivona is originally from Poland and now based in Brooklyn, NY. She established her DJ career in San Francisco, where she honed her skills and built a devoted following. Ivona’s music taste is diverse, encompassing electro, acid, EBM and techno, as well as simmering post-punk that ignites the dance floor. Her sets take the audience on a sonic journey that never fails to excite. But Ivona’s love for music extends beyond the club scene. On 26 February, hundreds of Israeli settlers went on a violent late-night rampage in Huwara and other villages in the northern West Bank, leaving one local resident dead and 100 others injured and the town ablaze.

This compilation of music was put together in order to raise funds that can hopefully give some aid to the residents of Huwara, all of the proceeds Confused Machines make from digital sales will go directly to Physicians For Human Rights – Israel (PHRI) www.phr.org.il An NGO that works in the occupied Palestinian territory, promoting Palestinians' right to health and providing direct medical and humanitarian assistance.

The compilation hosts a roster of both local and international artists spanning a wide spectrum of leftfield electronic music. Acid, Drone, Noise, Downtempo, Techno, SoundCollage and more.
All of these tracks are new and have not been heard before, many of them have been created with Huwara and Palestine in mind.

Though we know our reach is limited, we see this as a part of a bigger political effort to help raise awareness in our artistic circles and set motion to positive forces in dark times.

Captivated by the North Sea, its dune landscape and surrounding dark forests, Dim Garden's musical endeavors expand into swampy synthesis, gothic electronic experimentation, and field recordings. Methods of music production and DJing include using the decks as a method of sound collage, blending warm and cold waves. Together with RJM Vanderheyden, Dim Garden co-runs the DIY independent label Hunger!. The pair also perform and record as the industrial and power electronics duo Baglover.

Cold minimal wave hailing from the 80's German, Belgian and French DIY underground (Der Plan, Neuntage, X-Ray Pop, Absolute Body Control) and more recent wave (EYE, Shaknis & Egzotikka, Dame Area) feature prominently on this mix for Sonidos Subterraneos, including recent releases (Dissemblance, Perchten Scyla, Araf) and unreleased material (norhernorthere, Dim Garden), oscillating between gothic ballads, dance floor tunes and dark ambient musings.

Bulgarian dark mastermind MANASYt (Petar Tassev) has been rocking his own brand of Nurolektro since 2003. He’s responsible for a vast array of menacing titles on labels such as Touchin' Bass, Kommando 6, Musar and the infamous Bunker - along with about 40 others.
An artist that couldn’t care less about trends nor hypes, and whose main driving force is that authentic passion for the genre. 
Some of his tunes resemble a future horror movie score, others a visit to an asylum, but most sound like the soundtrack to an alien invasion.
Currently based in Xiamen, China.
