Here it is! The last instalment of the year! 242 tunes and 12 months later, we made it out of the madness that was 2021. Very glad I decided to do the mix series at the start of the year, I've rediscovered so many old favourites and had a real good time each month digging and selecting bits for each offering, finding blends and having fresh ideas. Pleased to say I stuck to my original goal and no tracks have been played twice through the series! This month has a few killer old favourites from the 2011-2012 deep house era, some minimal gems, from old skool breaks / garage flavours, basically a little something for everyone!

THREADS is back with another powerful VA!

Label co-owner A Virgo On The Moon joins forces again, after their Y7 with Paolo Mosca for the opening track which is a dreamy but powerful club cut. The second track marks the debut of the Ukrainian artist Kebab Traume and it is a fast tech house tool with clear Akufen - ish sounds.

The B-side opener is another strong club tool, this time more with that South American vibe provided by Peruvian Mario Liberti. The closing track is from matteo. who's back on THREADS after his solo EP, this time with Brazilian artist Lourene, and shows his dance floor side which we definitely like!

The release is dedicated to the loving memory of Andrea.

DC Salas continues to enchant dancefloors with big room club bangers that rally dancers and bring enlightenment. This new EP on Semi Delicious is no different with this synth driven powerhouse of a track doing the damage already.

Butter Side Up Records keeps up its early momentum with another standout EP, this time from Parisian beat maker Sweely. Of course, the 12" once again comes with artwork by Sophie Doulala and expertly explores a mix of heady and spaced out grooves. 

William Montana is right at the vanguard of the current French scene. Blurring the lines between minimal, electro and house for the last few years, he has been installed as resident at the cult Parisian club Concrete and has previously impressed with releases on the likes of Lobster Theremin, Negentropy and Automatic Writing. This latest outing marks another tasteful step up. 

Opener He's Mine has a slick and squelchy bassline carrying crisp broken beats off into the cosmos. It's a journeying track that really takes you somewhere. Next up, the Girls Are Watching is a rubbery minimal pumper with buoyant kicks and warped, tripped out synths that bring brilliantly off-kilter feelings. 

The flips side features the hard hitting title track - a driving fusion of electro sound designs, propulsive drum work and a killer baseline that burrows deep. Last of all, Hotel Corsica zones you out with dreamy pad work. Icy and slippery hi hats add to the late night atmosphere while withering chords bring the warmth. 

Private Navigation is an EP prime for plenty of classy dance floor adventures.
