The graveyard was empty but for her, she sat perched on a bench looking out as the wind blew softly through the trees. She came here every year to pay homage to what had once been - all the bad, good and all.

Perhaps it was 4hersins that she suffered. Perhaps it was some other reason entirely.

She sighed as he began to walk across the empty field, listening out for the rumbling in the clouds up above, for they always rumbled. Especially in May.

Mulholland is set to release a heavy hitting EP via Amity which features brutal bass, deep subs and enough wobble to blow your bass bin to pieces. Just the way we like it. This one bangs all the way from the top down.

His next EP, 'Operator Crack', doesn’t shy away from interesting perc work and clever sampling, weaving through grime-techno, percussive dubstep, downtempo-sludge and soul-Jersey club.

Premiere: Mulholland 'Crêmo'

Amity’s next outing is keeping it a family affair, with co-honcho Mulholland entering the fray. This follows a breathtaking EP from Elpac & Bristol royalty, Grove. Not to mention ‘that’ V/A last year, containing some of the best about (Cassius Select, Saskia & Pluralist, to name a few), the label is quickly establishing itself at the heart of a burgeoning underground scene.

Mulholland’s catalogue has flourished too, with stand out releases on imprints like Martyn’s 3024, CloudCore, Banoffee Pies & Woozy. This record however, feels like a significant landmark and perhaps his best work to date, all whilst being on home turf just makes it feel even more right. There’s a definite theme with serious sub-pressure laced through unique bass lines, shifting each track into a certified dance floor weapon. The EP doesn’t shy away from interesting perc work & clever sampling either, making it an extremely well-rounded release and another big step for Mulholland and Amity.

In May, longtime Vief collaborator halle o’malley got in touch with an idea. She’d come across the Instagram of a 17-year old Palestinian musician called Samih, who’s life has been torn apart as a result of Israel's recent onslaught on the Gaza strip. Their home destroyed, Samih and his family were forced to flee to a refugee camp in Rafah. During their displacement, Samih has gone viral posting videos of himself singing and playing a borrowed oud.
 
Having spoken to Samih and received his blessing, Halle planned to sample a video of his and donate the proceeds from the sales of that track to a GoFundMe set up for him and his family. Halle approached the label with the idea of scaling this project up by inviting other producers to sample Samih themselves or provide original tracks of their own.
 
Madhoun now stands as a compilation containing four productions sampling Samih, an interlude, and nine other dance tracks generously donated by producers from across the world.
