We welcome back one of our own hometown heroes, Jonathan Kaspar. Through holding down a residency at the fabled Gewölbe club, to releases on Pets Recordings, Objektivity, Ouïe and our own KX imprint, Jonathan Kaspar has proved to be one of the most exceptionally gifted producers and DJ’s to emerge from Cologne in recent time.

Though the clubs have remained closed since he came to us with his Kompakt debut “Kante”, his inspiration clearly remains unwavered with “Muster EP”. An acid tinged groove throbs to incredible momentum on the title track “Muster”. Follow the heartbeat with “Alle” as Jonathan brings the electro funk forward with his first foray into using his own vocals. A French touched rumble bass gives “Beton” all the flow and more for those early hour moments we all are craving again. The closer “Heber” is a classic opener – a subtle percussion rhythm gets built around sky high synths and a sweet house high hat to warm up any night.

The digital version comes with a stripped down version of Beton!

Valencia based producer Marat Mode has entered the big door of the electronic music scene with releases on Seven Villas, Crossings and HMWL. With just few singles he attracted the attention of great artists and labels. This is his first release on One Of A Kind and we couldn't be happier to have him on board!
"Timeless" is such a wonderful symphony, where we can clearly hear Marat's signature, evolving sounds of deep and progressive sounds, melancholic melodies and thick deep grooves. This single he did in a collaboration with Russian singer and pianist Eleonora, who has a lot of music experience behind her, where she has collaborated with performers like Moonwalk, Kiko, Miyagi, Nicolas Rada, and many others.
On Remix duty we have phenomenal Argia, whose appearance on labels such as Stil Vor Talent, DUAT FOLKLORE, Poesie, is totally representative to her devotion to music and natural born talent. She also studied piano, which means that we have a group of highly talented musicians in one release.
Beside Argia's, another remix was a duty for one of the most influenced female Venezuelan producers and Dj's, currently based in Madrid, Federika! As a label manager of Kapikua Records, and several club residences in Spain, perfect mixing skills and unique production, she is on the right way to represent Spanish club scene as it best.

Time flies as they say and we're living on the fast lane. Thirteen years deep, looking back at over 150 releases on our main label alone it is time for Upon You Records to celebrate a special anniversary once again, even though it feels like we've reached a two digit status only yesterday.

But 13 is a lucky number and therefore we're in for a treat, proudly presenting „UPON YOU THE 13TH", the first of two parts of our special birthday compilation, catering formerly unreleased cuts, updates and pure dancefloor bangers brought to you by both friends and longtime collaborators as well as fresh talent on the rise, all representing the sound of Upon You Records for 2k20.

The opening tune „Wisdom" is created by Innellea to redefine the term TechnoTrance for a new decade bringing forth ever floating midrange synth modulations, harmonic pads and a magical mystical early morning vibe with a spine-tingling, energetic twist.

Following up is our main man Ruede Hagelstein who's teaming up with Andrei Matorin for „Minus (String Update 2020)", presenting a new angle and approach towards his 2014-released classic „Minus", exploring a moodier, beautifully complex and surely Motor City-influenced variation of the genre widely known and loved as TechHouse.

Next up is „Sirens", a contribution by Brooklynite Rao which has become a member of the Upon You Records family in late 2k19 – a.k.a. only recently. Walking the line between pumping, yet well melodic TechHouse and mesmerizing (Neo)Trance for distinct primetime sessions the NYC resident finds a perfect balance in pairing masterly sculpted, aggressive bass attacks and a thrilling arrangement of intertwined harmonic call and response sequences in this tune.

With „Eldad" we see another collaboration coming to fruition here, this time a joint venture between Adam Ten and Mosko. Together, the two producers bring on stripped down, slightly tribal infused heat to every dancefloor before hitting hard with a killer midrange synth motif beamed at punters of today straight from the fut
