Exclusive Glowal 'Parallel People'

Italian duo Fabio Giannelli and Alessandro Gasperini better known under their Glowal alias have had a tremendous year and it's not over yet. 2019 had only been a few weeks in and the scene already made a decision: 'Cries', released on Innervisions' Secret Weapons Part 11, would become one of the most anticipated tracks of the year. Unfortunately the decision had been made before Fabio and Alessandro released their three tracker 'Revolver' on Berlin label Exit Strategy. With each track receiving support from multiple artists it was difficult to select a common favorite as all of them got under one's skin. 'Revolver' was followed by Glowal's EP 'Roda', for which the duo teamed up with vocalist Chris Batten, on Agoria's label Sapiens. Roughly two months ago Glowal's and Adana Twins' collaboration 'My Computer' came out on Diynamic, again the track had been highly anticipated and gained the scene's support. With their latest EP 'A.I. Talk' on TAU Alessandro and Fabio make their debut on the Adana Twins run label and provide a four tracker in for the duo's typical flamboyant way. 'Parallel People', the third track from the EP, certainly is no exception. In a noir-esque manner the spoken vocals represent the most striking element to tell a story throughout the track and is guided by a dark yet simply kept instrumental that utterly fulfills its task to create those 'Sin City'-moments. 

Glowal's EP 'A.I. Talk' will be released on TAU on October 25th, 2019.

Continuing to develop Sum Over Histories’s successful catalogue of releases by investing in rising talent, Frankey & Sandrino now enlist emerging duo Saint Is who deliver an eclectic four-tracker that draws on and pursues the distinguished musical history of the label’s past releases, following artists like Lazaros, Tlak, Kris Davis, and Impérieux. 

‘Dancing In The Rain ft. Sergi Yaro’ takes a romantic flow with a solid guitar riff, snappy claps, an up-front bassline and Sergi's rough yet vulnerable voice which are all interplay between a melodic transcendence.

Our premiere today - ‘Indana’ - raises the energy with smooth analog kicks, chattering percussion, emotional strings and flirting arp stabs, before ‘Something In Common ft. Juan Hansen’ grabs your attention with stripped back keys, subtle drums, haunting vocal work and an evolving synth-bass pattern. 

Finally, ‘The Phact’ takes a retro-vibe with distorted electric guitars, saturated snares, smooth low-end frequencies and nostalgia effects.

Exclusive Dominik Marz - Windpulver

Known for quite some Belters, partly with long-term affiliates David Kochs or Yannick Labbé, Augsburg creative Dominik Marz makes his (solo) debut on Scatcity with his three tracker Windpulver – a German word composition consisting of the words wind and powder. The EP's title track synonimously stands for Marz's preference of recording catchy synth-lines and tonally play around with them until they result in a homogenous composition. In the case or track at hand Dominik even works with two different synth-lines, as the firstly introduced one seems to have the task of providing the listener with deeper keys the second synth-line throws light upon the track and creates while interacting with the track's basis a charming atmosphere, which is hard to escape from as it's as intriguing as the singing of the Loreley.

Dominik Marz's EP Windpulver will be released on Scatcity on May 15th, 2020.
