Italian artist Ivan Masa, who already made a contribution to the Four To The Floor series, is bringing his first full EP to Diynamic. Four tracks of late 80s Wave and early 90s Rave make up his „Limitless EP“.
Title track „Limitless“ smoothly launches us with a sturdy bass synth, ethereal pads and the gentle vocals of fellow Italian singer India. A cozy time capsule to kick off our journey into the previous millennium.
The endeveour continues with Padologi, where we encounter our first Metroid shower to maneuver through. At first we’re just dodging small dissonant stabs and chords, then a daft bass synth, until we get all up into an erratic acid line that makes our heartbeat reach new heights.
„Crash Your Hands“ is classic 90s Rave, with space age sirens high energy percussions and „Notte Di Maggio“ slowly returns us home, with a reminiscent tear in our heart and too many adventurous memories to tell

Premiere: Dodi Palese - Star Break [Atmosphere Records]

AEON is set to release its upcoming gem, AEON067 - Lost Tapes Vol. 6 VA, a compilation that promises to usher in the new year with a wave of sonic delights. Featuring a stellar lineup of artists including Leonor & MoM, Tallac, Mehill, Undefined Pattern and Alex Niggemann.

True to the name, Undefined Pattern defies musical norms with "TS Voyage." This track serves as a tribute to the artist's non-conformist journey through life, an anthem addressing the struggles and aspirations of the transgender community. Classic drums, steady percussion, deep basslines, and spatial sounds unite in a six-minute exploration.

Mehill takes you on a journey of musical evolution with "Lotus," showcasing the transformation in his style from his first release to his latest productions. The track is a testament to the energy and inspiration drawn from his personal experiences, especially the love for his son.

The compilation wouldn't be complete without a contribution from AEON's label honcho, Alex Niggemann. Brace yourself for "Peace Trading," a track that undoubtedly reflects Niggemann's signature style and musical finesse.

Immerse yourself in a fusion of 90s-driven sounds as Mexican producer Leonor collaborates with Spanish talent MoM on "Break Da System." This track brings a nostalgic vibe, complemented by organic Middle Eastern instruments.

Drawing inspiration from 80s synth soundtracks and space disco, Tallac creates a cosmic yet heartfelt experience with "Galaxia."

The 44th Chapter in this story sees the release of JOBE’s My Regrets, featuring the haunting vocals of Haptic and a big Edition from label bosses VVerses.

As ever with JOBE, the EP is a powerful combination of darkness, melody and heft.

Title track My Regrets is true to form, built on a chunky, driving groove that opens into an expansive and euphoric vocal-led peak in which Haptic takes the lead, giving a performance that is typically haunting and emotional. The Dub Edition, meanwhile, offers a useful counterpoint that smooths out the highs of the original.

Up next, the VVerses Lessons Learned Edition is a blissful combination of new wave-influenced broken beat, delayed basslines and dripping acid. Haptic’s vocal, transformed into an impersonal and heavily vocodered robotic presence, holds the track together as it culminates into choppy ravey chords that channel a Balearic feel.

Final track Luma is an ominous afro tech roller, big dusty drums encasing a central arp that ups the ante and is bound to make the dancefloor bounce. Interweaving synths relentlessly build the tension to a crescendo.

JOBE does it again with his My Regrets EP, right in time for the summer months. Here are stories in sound not to be missed on Chapter 24.
