pH 1 released his "Technicolor Vision" cassette album on Help Recordings in 2016, but is also part of the group Hi Mount along with Central and DJ Sports. The three have released together on Regelbau. The name pH 1 bear a less than subtle reference to the sound of acid, and his productions definitely reflects early UK house and break beat with elements of acid jazz. He first crossed paths with Multiplex while performing a live set in his hometown before Steen Kong was to DJ. The two quickly connected and we are happy to welcome pH 1 to the Multiplex family.

Born and raised in Aarhus, Denmark but often traveling to UK where he also spent his teens. He started playing guitar at age eight, but once he'd felt wax on a 1210, saved up for a pair of Technics.

His Lucid EP opens with "Time of Day" a beautiful house production, "Infinite Pressure" presents a deep, cinematic journey, while "Bonafide Platter" is a playful, acidic tune. Titonton Duvanté delivered the amazing Futurity EP for Multiplex in 1998 with four funky acid tracks, the perfect candidate to add to pH 1's universe. Titonton has remixed "Make Your Reality" on the B-side and the original mix of that track gets the final word of the EP.

pH 1 - Time Of Day [Snippet]

Marek Moskal (aka Moskalus) was born and currently resides in Ostrava, Czech Republic. He started his musical journey back in 2007 when he created his first YouTube channel where he would upload music from various artists to help them promote their music. With his second channel, he started doing music
videos because he wanted to be a part of the scene not only as a regular uploader, but as someone who wanted to express his feelings from music. In November 2014, he had his first big break by making the music video for Bambounou’s track “Onto This” which was released on 50Weapons. After that, he gained
a greater audience that helped him to work with labels such as: Lobster Theremin, Shall Not Fade, Die Orakel, Pinkman and Lehult. He has also had the opportunity to work with artists such as: Baltra, Fjaak, J. Albert and Benedict Frey. After years of listening to music and making videos for them, Moskalus has
developed a wide taste of music for himself. In his DJ sets you can expect to hear anything from disco, house, techno to even U.K. Garage, or dubstep from the golden era. All in all, his years of experience listening to music has translated into pleasant combination that can prove to be deadly on the dance floor.

Fresh sounds from recently reemerged Danish producer @caibojsenmoller on his own @multiplexrecords, who was known on the house / techno circuit in the '90s before taking a sizeable 15 year hiatus. Sounds like the time off has done him a world of good, with this cut taken from his second comeback release 'The Spirit of Man and Machine - Part 2'. Taut machine funk drives the track with rubbery bass, crunchy analog-style drum machines and sprightly touches of reverbered pads and stabs adding a cinematic touch. Groovy and feely at once.

Running a record label is no simple feat, it requires dedication, investment and commitment. Many have tried and failed whilst others simply dream of the notion. 

Multiplex is a label which has been in operation for twenty five years, a remarkable achievement for what began as a passion project in Denmark all those years ago. Founded in 1995 the label went on a hiatus of sorts and was then reborn in 2017 following an absence, it has been responsible for the release of music by the likes of Orlando Voorn, Morgan Geist and John Tejada. 

More recently the label has released music by Cai Bojsen-Møller, Wilma, Ultra and Luca Lozano.

An imprint reborn yet still very much clinging on to the underground sensibilities which launched and birthed the label in its own right. It is a true testament to the commitment and perseverance of Kong and Daniel Karrill.

Multiplex: Flavour Of The Label Mix

Skating around town he caught the eyes of passers by who looked him up and down as he whizzed on by. They knew little of his lifestyle or his joy. The wheels on his roller blades kept on spinning as he careered down the sidewalk and in amongst wandering traffic in the midst of rush hour. This was the grind and the day was only just beginning, soon he would travel all over the city, catching the eyes of thousands of lost souls. He was not lost however, he was found. 

Multiplex are set to release a rather special track by El Agua Es Profunda, a progressive odyssey which will delight dancers and listeners in equal measure. A feel good, positive track with uplifting pads and deep moving sensibilities. This is a special one for the twilight summers and late nights.

Back on  Threads Radio finally!  For today's show i have special guest from Porto Alegre, producer & dj KIKA ! What we have in common is that both of us started on bass music, so this show is dedicated to this kind of sound! Electronica, UK Bass, Dubstep and all that stuff. In the first hour you can hear lot of fresh tunes, for example one track from Om Unit 's new album, superb dreamy electronica by my very good man Feiertag, killer electro by Louisahhh and more! In the second one you can hear eclectic selection by KIKA! 

KIKA is DJ and co-producer of Arruaça, co-founder of label @gomarec and a resident at BASE PoA, music collectives from Porto Alegre, Brazil. Her research as a DJ started on bass, but it was on techno that she found her soul. Also crossing a new way with house music, Kika has a heavy and pulsating style, intersecting with UK beats, garage, industrial, breaks, bass, electro, trance and acid.
