Kawai R-50e is a late eighties Japanese drum machine, featuring cool slap-bass and synth sounds. With our Re-Kawai R-50e sample pack we tried to capture a spirit of this groovebox used in nuomerous tracks and movies at the time, while today it is still used mostly in Manga production.


We sampled all 40 distinctive sounds of this machine in 24bit, and not just that, also we have produced 64 full loops and 64 steams (kick, hats, claps, bass, stabs lines) that you can easily combine and produce new loops with our Ableton Live template.  Sounds of R-50e can be used in various genres, from techno, house and disco to electronica, industrial and pop music.



Beside Ableton Live project (also compatible with Lite and Intro) samples are provided as NI Kontakt  and Battery patches, as well as in WAV and REX format. Seq., Chords & Stabs is a collection of warm analogue and crispy digital sounds and loops. Our goal was creating inspirational music sequences, melodic chords and fat stabs, easy to embed in your current production. Without concentrating on a special genre we created material that could be used in most electronic music projects, especially when you need characteristic sounds to make your tracks a bit special.

From unique basses and synths to warm pads, fresh stabs and chords, we created a pack that could be very useful when creating current techno/deep techno, house, electronica or more experimental forms of electronic music. Some of the sounds were also processed with outboard effects with aim to produce rich sounding material.

Beside loops and single sounds in WAV format, ready to use in your favorite audio sequencer or sampler, we also included 4 Ableton Live templates featuring all single hits in four sampler racks so you can start building new loops and tracks from the scratch. We believe that you will easily find good use for Seq., Chords & Stabs.

Casio synthesizers like VL-1 were often perceived as kid toys in the early eightes and later times, but despite this view they more than successsfully found their place in electronic and games music history. At the time, Casio sounds were everywhere, in films, games, popular and electronic music, and today it is almost impossible not to hear them, while Casio still sells loads of their cheap synths and more expensive gear. Casio Grooves is dedicated to the legendary sounds and style of the time.

We have sampled most interesting classical sounds from digital casio beauties like VL-1, which combines a calculator, a monophonic synthesizer, and sequencer and was the first commercial digital synthesizer in the world. With these sounds we have created loops that will bring some classical sounds to your production. Anyone remembers 1982 German hit “Da Da Da” by Trio? Check it to hear how one background melody loop can define the whole track and you can even see VL-1 in singers pocket and hands.

You should not be fooled by Casio synths toy-like look as they can add some definitely characteristic sounds to your tracks. They were also used by various big and small acts, from synth-pop legends The Human League, obscure Industrial and Metal bands to Fergie. We have provided 122 loops in this pack on 90 and 115 BPM, that were enriched with analogue compression during recording. Beside that inside you will find 30 One-Shoots, 1 NI Battery Kit and 1 Ableton Live Set so you can easily start producing your own grooves.
