I wrote this song about the importance of setting boundaries with the voices in one's head.  I wrote it one day when I felt like my negative self talk was overwhelming me.  I wrote the lyrics with the utmost respect for my "critical parts" who often are very loud.  I want to hear what they need to tell me, but I can only hear everyone if they speak one at a time.

In this song each "part" expresses their desire.  They all want different things and finding harmony at this point in the musical is anything but a piece of cake.

In this song I give my inner child all of the red shoes she could ever imagine as a way to heal.  In the end I remind her that now that I am with her we are safe.
