Wow! It's hard to describe the feeling of how awesome the vibe was at the LOVE CAMP tent at JUNGLE LOVE FESTIVAL. I played Saturday evening 7-830pm set after Tasty Taste & Not Jen... bringing up the energy with a bouncy wonky house/ minimal tech  set. The dancefloor went nuts and the party was ridiculously & outrageously mad. This continued all night with pals Jay Chilt, RA & Butterz following me. Much respect and thx to Leo & Butterz and the whole love camp crew for having us play! xx

We've got some saucy techno / tech house for you this time, DJ Gez 🥵

Techno, Tech house and House music - with a generous helping of Acid - are the driving forces behind Gez’s hugely popular, thumping sets. She is guaranteed to get the dancefloor jumping, and is described by some of the best known DJ legends as having "the ear".

She has been obsessed with dance music since the nineties and was instrumental in creating some of the iconic early Doofs in the hinterland of Byron Shire from 1994 onwards.

Over the past five years Gez has relentlessly pursued her long held dream of honing her DJ skills and sharing her love of banging tunes and infectious beats with dancefloors around Australia. Gez made her DJ debut in 2018 and quickly gained a reputation for being able to rock the dancefloor. She possesses a natural ease behind the decks and has a deep affiliation for what it takes to create a Party.

Gez has played at festivals such as Earth Frequency, Bohemian Beatfreaks, Jungle Love festival, Firefly Festival and Mi Casa Su Casa Festival in Port Macquarie. She has played sets at events such as Lab Leaked Beats, Equinox Tribal Gathering, Envibe, Electic Avenue, Dirty House, Sunday Kicks, Modulate Weirdo Techno, Last Resort, Balcony Beats, Glo Party and The Rhythm Gala.

Gez has played at clubs far and wide from Tasmania to Elsewhere on the Gold Coast. Locally she has played at The Canopy Club, Wandana Brewery, Lovers Lane and Casa Luna and countless private hinterland parties.

She is also a regular special guest on Bay FMs long standing techno radio show - Submerged along with Si Clone with whom she also put on the popular monthly event Sunday Sounds at Trawlers Bar in Brunswick Heads for the past few years.

Progressive House mix by SS61, live at Lawnrdrecordings, Aotearoa, New Zealand on Nov 13, 2023.
I did this mix and called it ‘Tribal Alignment’ for @arkadien ‘Sunrise of Summer’, which ironically has been moved to Dec 9/10 because of weather concerns and unfortunately I cannot attend due to other commitments.
The Tribal Alignment mix was tailored for that party specifically. I wanted to explore Progressive House in a way that suited my style and to have a bigger energy than my previous melodic and organic mixes. It is intense in places then releases into some long soothing grooves with tangled bass lines and melodies whilst hopefully retaining an uplifting vibe. 
This mix challenged and tested my abilities every step of the way.

Pray for peace on the pale blue dot.
