Except a purpose 
And no matter how much I work it 
Nothing ever feels like it’s truly worth it 
I can’t latch on to fading moments 
I still desire a purpose 
Drowning deep beneath the surface 
Crushed by the weight of my hubris,
A foolish state of being 
Where’s the prescription for this sickness? 
I would gladly take it instead
