For nearly two decades, Francesco Murino has been an active force in the Techno music scene, contributing to its growth both in Italy and abroad. He is one of the key figures behind Resistance is Techno party in Rome and the label Suburban Avenue—two projects born from the desire to promote electronic music culture through events and artist development.

After spending many years exclusively behind the scenes, in recent times he has felt the need to express himself from behind the decks as well. Under the alias Murino, he has become a resident DJ for Resistance is Techno. His sets span the early sounds of Detroit and Chicago, infused with late '90s and early 2000s UK Techno influences, and open up to modern Berlin sonorities. It’s a musical journey that looks back at the past with nostalgia, while seeking genuine connections with the present. The result is an uncompromising blend, rich in nuance and stylistic coherence.

Beyond this, Francesco also works as a booking agent and journalist, carrying forward a vision of electronic music that combines passion, expertise, and a deep cultural commitment.
