The night was darker than usual.

Driven not by the light but by the mood of Paperclip. 

As he sat in his favourite spot on the balcony, the place he called Sueta, his ‘usual’ place, he mused at his feelings.

He bowed his covered head speaking the neurofunk forever plainchant.

Something he grasped from a young age calling on the magical spirits that he inherited from his father, and his father’s fathers through the mystical ages. 

As he took a long drink of his concoction, the mystical advances to the future with the old powers of the past had more clarity now.

He saw it....It is coming.

The recital never ends!

Off the back of our mammoth Chapter 3 Compilation that was a huge celebration of our artists and music throughout 2024, We kick start 2025 in a big way and introduce the biggest label debut we have had to date.

He is and has been the backbone of the Russian Drum and bass movement since the early 00s.

Whether that be putting out high quality Neurofunk and Tech DNB on his Paperfunk Recordings label or it being championing the next wave of talent through the Neuropunk academy. Paperclip (Or Pavel to his friends) has cemented himself as a `Hall of fame` worthy artist within drum and bass.

His output to give back to the music we live is unmatchable and the music he puts out is incomparable.

A true pioneer and a pleasure for us to host him as our first release of 2024.

Sueta and Neurofunk Forever both have a huge focus on the techier classic side of the sound bringing back some nostalgia and memories to the music we all love today Paperclip on VTO Records- 28th February- Mark it in your diaries.

Podcast 541 – Bad Syntax & Dialective

We’re excited to announce RAIDO’s debut release on Blackout, featuring two massive tracks:

RAIDO & Symplex - Rave Digger

Contam lands on the imprint with Psychosis EP, a bold and immersive two-track offering that showcases his ability to merge forward-thinking sound design with raw dancefloor energy.

The title track, “Psychosis,” kicks off the release with a dark roller that wastes no time pulling the listener into its eerie soundscape. Driven by futuristic synth work and haunting atmospherics, the track creates a tense, cinematic mood that evolves with precision. Crisp percussion and tightly programmed drums keep the groove locked in, making this a standout weapon for DJs who like to take things into murkier territory.

“EMP” comes in with a different kind of intensity, anchored by its lively, chugging bassline and punchy drums. This is a tune practically engineered for blending, with enough grit and movement to hold its own in any high-energy set.

Together, these tracks mark a strong statement from Contam and a solid addition to the Murmuration catalogue — heavy, heads-down rollers with depth, drive, and unmistakable character.
