Having recently reached Beatport number one with ‘Urban Shaker’, Manchester-based DJ/producer Sam Curran readies three new productions for Jamie Jones’ renowned Hottrax this April. Gaining previous support from Jamie Jones, Sidney Charles, and Franky Rizardo, Curran is back with another bass-heavy production that ensures an impressive return to the label. 

The title cut ‘Twilight On The Terrace’ brings rolling low end and playful vocal interjections that create a rousing club track, while the bumping ‘Eric’s Rumble’ showcases a reverberating bassline in true Hottrax style, paired with dizzying drops and wonky stabs. Closing out the EP ‘NRG’ harnesses crisp hats, snaking bass grooves, and moody, infectious samples to journey deep into late-night territories. 

“I made this EP in the hope of replicating some of the feelings I’ve felt on the dance floor with my own twist. The title track especially is inspired by the early 90s acid scene and the euphoric moments that came with it.” - Sam Curran

Jamie Jones and Lee Foss welcome Brazilian newcomer Cassi to Hot Creations as he unveils his two-track  EP, ‘Request’.  

A new name quickly catching a lot of attention within the tech house world, Brazilian DJ/producer Cassiano  Salbego, aka Cassi, only released his debut record via Amine Edge & DANCE’s CUFF Records in August of last  year. However, the months since have seen the exciting South American drop a sprinkling of follow-ups and  downloads to begin to showcase his sound and style, with a growing list of supporters added by the day. Next up,  he gets set for his biggest release to date, making his debut appearance on James Jones and Lee Foss’  internationally renowned label Hot Creations with two new originals across ‘Request’.
 
“In the process of creating these tracks, I thought a lot about how to change things up and to do  something a little different, yet simple at the same time. I used a lot of samples and layers to give a more  robust structure, using many drum machines from the 90s. Honestly, at first I didn’t think much about  shaping the tracks for a specific purpose. I just let it flow. When they started to take shape, I thought of  Hot Creations and just gave it a shot. Happily, here we are!”- Cassi.  

Opening with rolling drums, slinking bass groove and hooky warped vocals, arpeggiated lead synths soon take  hold of ‘Request’ as the track builds into a cascading surge of energy, while ‘Nervousinha’ is a stripped back yet  impactful cut that sees further vox snippers paired with trippy and resonant melodies.

Collaborating to great effect on labels like Hooj Choons and Cleveland City Digital, Jay Farina and regular studio  partner Quinzi have been playing across Europe while cooking up a take on house music that is fresh and full of  irresistible grooves. Joining forces for their biggest release to date, the pair head to Hot Creations to open the  summer with their two-track ‘Pumpin The Junk’ EP. 

“We set out to create a blend of classic old-school vibes influenced by the early nineties whilst wanting to  keep an organic feel to the record, keeping it fresh.”. - Jay Farina & Quinzi.  

‘Pumpin The Junk’ is a sleazy, low-slung and driving house cut with raw and edgy percussion, while the vibrant  vocals and old-school rave stabs all light up the track with the sort of character that gets a floor going wild. Next  comes ‘The Buzz’, which is exactly that, the type of steamy house groove to get people moving. Rolling drums are  overlaid with jumbled toms and fluttering snares before a monstrous bassline brings the warmth, while fiery vocals,  drum fills and filtered FX all add more texture and tension to this red-hot offering.

With a busy start to the year behind them, securing a first appearance on Lee Foss’ South Of Saturn and garnering support from industry heavyweights such as Solardo, Nic Fanciulli, and Joseph Capriati, the dynamic duo now bring their fresh house sounds to Jamie Jones and Foss’ iconic Hot Creations with two scorching tracks that are sure to whip up a frenzy. 

“Releasing with Hot Creations has been our number one goal since we started our journey. This is a huge milestone in our career, and we can’t thank Jamie enough for believing in our sound. The inspiration for this track came from listening to old-school organ house music, which we love, but with our own ‘Deltech’ twist.” - Deltech. 

A highlight from Jamies Jones and Loco Dice’s recent b2b set at Club Space, ‘I Don’t Need That’, heads up the package with rumbling low-ends and shuffling beats driven by catchy female vocals that bring an undeniable groove to the track. Closing out, ‘Making Moves’ delves into late-night territories with choppy bass hits, rolling percussion and robust house rhythms.
