Just Sharing an unknown path with the Gorgeous Les Paul Custom ‘Salma’ - recorded into iPhone, using Music Memo App (such a pity it has been discontinued). 

I hope you enjoy the Rawness of it. The Bass &  Drum Kit were added after, and are within the App. 

The LPC is from 1988 and has the ‘circuit board’ Bill Lawrence HBR & HBL Pickups. The Amp was the Boss Katana Air.

Forever (Marshall Mega Remix)

This Track progressed from a simple remark made to one of the Band! 

We have evolved this into a Rock Track, with sentimental overtones…actually, the Mars reference is kinda cool, as the same Band Member had their Girlfriend’s name on the Mars Perseverance Rover! Yeah, we gave him some stick for that one! Lol. 

It was good fun, and we had a great laugh together.

We looked back over the Music we grew up with, so yes, pretty much 70’d /80’s Rock influenced.

Forever

I bought a cheap Acoustic Guitar from a Chinese Website and decided to record my first play with it. 

The Recording was made via the Voice Memo App on my phone, and placed horizontally ‘kind of inline’ with the Soundhole.  Just so you know!

I was impressed by this Acoustic and sent the Recording to my Wonderful French Friend, whom much to my amusement and surprise added his Vocals & Lyrics and evolved it into this Track. 

I thought I would share it, as it’s Fun, and made me smile. 

Of course should I ever be asked to play a Song around a Camp Fire, I have no excuse, I can play this!

This is what happens when left alone & without the Drummer & Bass telling you to rein it in - Sorry Guys, you may well have a point! Lol. 

However, it was cathartic to let off some steam.

Recorded into my iPhone, with the sound coming from a Yamaha THR30ii. Not played terribly loud, hence why you can hear the strings! Hahaha, not very Rock N’ Roll huh! 

In truth, I like to meander a bit and pick up on any runs that I may use in my Main Band.

Chill New Years Eve

This was a straight out, non rehearsed idea (yes, I get that it shows! Lol), that was just me, my guitar, into a Katana Mini, recorded via the Music Memo App. I’ve used the Drums and Bass from within the App. 

My timing wasn’t too bad (yeah right, for all the Drummer’s out there!), as the App was able to sync with my playing. 

I had recently swapped two guitars, for a Gibson Les Paul Standard from 1990, in Ebony. This was the first opportunity to play this guitar, and so I got lost in the Fun and Freedom, without a metronome in sight! I was surprised it got to six minutes, and yes I will admit to ‘kinda’ losing my way a bit - but hey! 

I shall hope to take away snippets, maybe only a few seconds worth, that I can develop into a song. Some of the pinched harmonics I enjoyed, and I felt I could have let go more, but, on my own, I had to remember the bass line - well, that’s my excuse 😉

Trouble Is Too Far

The Murray Mints UK have an eclectic taste in music of all Genres which for us provides freedom of expression, rather than being confined in any way. We’re just havin’ fun, and if you enjoy any of your Tracks it is much appreciated. 

Our Track Sea Shake was simply Kyler playing his newly acquired, Gibson Les Paul Standard 1990 model in Ebony. He swapped two guitars to get it! Anyway, straight out played into a little Boss Katana Mini, recorded via a Music Memo App on the phone. Just an idea really, that ran for six minutes! We need to hone it, extract the snippets already identified to develop it further. Rock vocals is something we’re looking at, at the moment.

So here we go again! Another unrehearsed Track which is a Demo. These are difficult times, and it is important to enjoy ourselves. Trouble Is Too Far, is borne out of the frustration of not being able to get together and play.

Just put up a bit of noodling - ‘Salma’ - hope you enjoy it for the Fun it was.
