It is a compilation that aims to offer a musical progression from sunset to nightfall. 

The musical influences are inspired by the psychedelic rock scenes of the 60s and 70s, while trying to keep a fairly deep and progressive atmosphere in the tracks presented!

"Fooled by the Roots" is a psychedelic tale I composed to end this journey. It is a musical imagination revolving around the foolish and malicious nature of our Roots, referring to the mossy roots of the most profound forests as well as our cultural roots from the previous decades that inspire us to this day!

Digital Yonkis is back with this special free release that is a collection of artists from all over the world, carefully compiled by our label Dj Tkalii. The aim is to bring together fresh music from a variety of countries under the genre of Forest. The variations range from 150 to 167 bpm, breaking down the boundaries and exploring new frontiers in terms of sounds and ideas. Each track has been carefully chosen to create a journey that flirts with other styles, but never loses sight of its purpose: late-night, psychedelia.

This VA is dedicated to our dear friend Juan Carlos Guerra, Dj Natural, one of the founders of the Trancetour collective. Thank you for your inspiration and support, you will always be a part of our celebration of life.

We are proud to present our first collaboration tale, starting off this anthologic double CD storyline. 🌊

Aphotic Ceremony is an expedition in the unknown depths of our planet’s submarine wildlife, where undiscovered species await and roam free in pitch black atmospheres. The tone is set around the "Aphotic zone", which is the portion of a lake or ocean where there is little or no sunlight. In these obscure areas lay the oceanic depths beyond which less than 1 percent of sunlight penetrates. 

This is an ode to this mysterious ecosystem, where everything is slowed down and your movements are restricted by the overwhelmingly high pressure of deep waters, carefulness is key to finding your way back up safely. 🦑🌑

Thanks to @aderfi for allowing us to express yourself for the first time in this new adventure, and giving us the opportunity to open this new double CD chapter for Magus Nexus.

Returning from their long journeys into uncharted territories, our travellers captured the weirdest and strangest creatures from the undergrowth. They listened for the essence of their voices, had to go through a lengthy process of examination of their behavior, telegraphing their language and deciphering their encrypted communication to unveil their lost knowledge. They speak of many secrets, some are of the forest, some of the smell of night, some of glittering snowy plains, some of ancient arcane knowledge and some twisting the very fabric of our understanding of the world. Once you taste these sounds, they will haunt you. Once you're in, it's too late to escape the grasp of this mysterious sonic language. Listen and you will know what is meant by this.

Winter Wanderer is a weird and dizzy sonic take on the coldness that surrounds us. A windy excursion through a harrowing path made of twisted falling branches and an ill feeling of always being observed. In the continuation of the Whispering Fauna universe and storyline, this time every being and spirit has transformed into cold and eerie creatures lurking between the snowy trees. Beware, you won't see them at first, but at around the middle of the tale, they'll slowly start crawling into your ears. 🪱

Three years ago, on a cold and gloomy night in north-western France, two like minded individuals crossed paths for the first time. Mysmatic and Faeyan then immediately bonded over their shared obsession for the otherworldly musical depths of the Forest.

Fast forward to today, these two wandering friends are on a journey to embark you on a timeless quest to unlock the forbidden secrets that lay dormant in your minds. This “voyage” is embodied by an imaginary sanctuary full of eerie yet cleansing soundscapes, which they express through the metaphoric name of Musafirs.

Inspired by the arabic word « Musafirin » which directly translates to « Travelers », they are excited to be on board with Moroccan label Magus Nexus Records as of today, with their first release ready to be unleashed soon!
