Solid Grooves unveil their 2022 'Ibiza Sampler' as Michael Bibi and PAWSA invite seven of the label's residents and regulars for a huge summer offering.

2022 is shaping up to be a year to remember for Solid Grooves as they celebrate ten years in style with a host of stand-out shows, including OFF Sonar and Kappa Futur, alongside recent appearances at Space Miami, Fabric and Printworks.

However, the crown jewel in the programming undeniably comes via their biggest Ibiza season to date. With a move to renowned institution DC10 backed by lineups stacked full of talent, the collective only adds to things on the label front as they reveal their latest summer compilation. Opening the season in style, the nine-track 'Ibiza Sampler' welcomes the arrival of a stacked V/A with fresh heat from close friends and ever-impressing regulars.

In usual fashion, co-founders Michael Bibi and PAWSA contribute a pair of heavily-requested signature cuts, alongside peak-time and after-hours anthems from residents Dennis Cruz, Eddy M, Reelow, Ramin Rezaie and Bassel Darwish, plus label signees Classmatic and JUST2.

Brazil’s Bruno Furlan returns to Hot Creations with his fresh two-track EP, ‘Bongoloco’.  

A DJ and producer whose recent studio endeavours have seen him release material on Black Book Records,  Fool’s Gold and Material, Bruno Furlan is an artist at the centre of Brazil’s recent explosion of names within the  house and tech house landscape. Based in São Paulo, the bubbling talent has built on his early experiences within  the Brazilian electronic music scene to make appearances at global events such as Dirtybird Campout and AMF  Festival. Following an impressive debut on the label with his two-track ‘The Speakers Pump Like This’, late  January brings a return to Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations imprint as he serves up two fresh dancefloor-leaning cuts  across his ‘Bongoloco’ EP.  

“After the first release on Hot Creations, ideas started to boil in my head daily, and I wondered if Jamie  would play every song I started or not. When I started ‘Bongoloco’, it was a very raw groove, and I needed  something striking, a mix between a little crazy and something that made sense in the music. I thought  about adding some percussion, but nothing was good until I came across this bongo and fell in love with  the sound of it on the track. It’s impressive how achievements improve our ideas and performances, and  my Hot Creations debut was one of those. I have no doubt ‘Bongoloco’ only exists thanks to Jamie’s first  ‘Yes’” - Bruno Furlan. 

Title track ‘Bongoloco’ takes cues from its name and showcases a skittering percussion-driven production built for  peak-time hours as warped drum fills and vibrant vocal calls inject an abundance of energy. Keeping things  moving, the rolling ‘Vai’ delivers a slick accompaniment to the package, serving up an anthem built for bustling  terraces worldwide.

Hailing from Barcelona and a regular at the elrow events, Bastian Bux joins forces with label owner Daniel Orpi to deliver a 2 track EP entitled 'Wake Up'. The pair decided to work together some months ago when they first met at the 2022 Miami Music Week. Following couple of studio sessions in Barcelona, 'Take It To The Dancefloor' was made. A track that reflects a hybrid of both of their unique sounds. Due to their busy schedule with shows around the globe, they managed to finally meet in August and make 'Wake Up' which is the lead track of this heavy hitting EP. This record has been a stand out in both of their sets for a few months now and the feedback on this track has been incredible on the dance floors worldwide.
