PØST (2009 to present), and its predecessor POST (1995-2005), is a subversive venue in the Arts District for contemporary art in Los Angeles, where nearly four hundred exhibitions have been hosted. For the past five years in July, the venue has hosted daily Kamikaze Shows. Each day during that month, a new show is installed (and the previous day's one removed) and an opening is held that evening from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Every show is curated by an artist to feature his/her work and/or works by a group. On Day 17, Downtown Muse spoke with artist Jonathan Hornedo who curated that day's show.

If you've been to Handsome Coffee Roasters in the Arts District, you may have occasionally seen a taco cart set up along Willow St. Chef Wes Avila runs Guerrilla Tacos with his wife Tanya Mueller. On this day, Downtown Muse had a chat with the couple who just launched their new truck, replacing the cart.

Wes and Tanya use seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms, so their menu changes daily. Currently, they serve their tacos through their new truck parked near Handsome Coffee Roasters (582 Mateo St, Los Angeles, CA 90013 near Willow St.) on Tuesday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and Friday mornings (until 2 p.m.). Raul's "We Hustle Harder" print is part of a series that he created in 2014 when he was in grad school at the University of Texas, San Antonio. Each print from the edition of only 51 is an embossed linocut printed on Stonehedge paper (sized 9 x 12 inches). Each print is signed and numbered at bottom right. His next show is "Doing Werk" at the Fort Worth Community Art Center from September 4 to October 31, 2020. The venue is located at 1300 Gendy Street, Fort Worth, TX 76107 and will be open Monday through Saturday, 9am to 5pm. Due to Covid, there will be no reception or performance, and visitors will be asked to adhere to stated public health measures.

Tommy Gregory is an artist and a curator based in Houston and Seattle. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Houston in 2005 and his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2009. In addition to maintaining a studio practice, Gregory also has a career in art administration. He was the Public Art Specialist for the City of San Antonio, then, the Public Art Program Director and Curator for the Houston Airports. Currently, he is the Public Art Program Sr. Manager and Curator for the Port of Seattle (SEA-TAC) at Pier 69 where he lives with his wife, artist and writer Casey Arguelles Gregory and their adorable precocious 7-year-old daughter Clementine.
