Semba is traditional pop music and and couple dance style from Angola. 

"Semba" comes from the singular Masemba, meaning "a touch of the bellies", a move that characterizes the Semba dance (Wikipedia).

It's probably the predecessor of brasilian Samba. The slower Kizomba has its origin in Semba.
