Contemporary singer Anna Clementi meets the Alien Alien.
Together they cross boundaries for a visionnaire timeless anthem: NO G.D.M., the cult song by German electro pioneer Gina X.
Originally released in 1979, it's a sublime portrait of the British dandy icon Quentin Crisp, one of the fathers of the queer culture.
Anna Clementi and Alien Alien dig to the heart of voodoo: summoning, obsession, hypnosis, slow ritual dance. With an unpredicted twist, which leads the scene to another level.
The dub version by Hugo Sanchez leads the track even more towards the essence of funk: obscure tribal percussions, revealing a noir soul.

An abandoned, unfinished dub of Client Liaison, back from when we were going to release them on Multi Culti. Fun fact: Duke Dumont also did a remix that never saw the light of day (or night). I gave up on this one because it was too 'white' and I couldn't imagine ever wanting to be seen playing it. Now's the time when you tell me I was wrong and crazy and it's actually making you groove away from your computer terminal and into the outback of your mind.
If this reaches 1 million plays I'll upload the vocal version.

Kasper Bjørke is finishing off another busy year, with a special treat in the form of Klint, a bouncy and dirty proto house jam that has been causing quite a stir on dancefloors all over, since the track was released as part of Kaspers Mini-LP Fountain of Youth this summer.

Slow and atmospheric, yet punching and grooving Die Orangen managed to meltdown genres into 100bpm 11 minute long trippy trancey bonanza with a substantial amount of jungle psychedelia and heavy drum machines. One Day in Sheperton is a more drum oriented industrial power house tune. With the diggerido and distorted voices coming in towards its 2nd half. This ep includes, as expected from the Malka Tuti crew, with awesome remixes by Italian maestros Fabrizio Mamarella (of Slow Motion records) and Alessandro Adriani (of Mannequin records), Oodandatta Rain is an ep that throws the listener back to the early days of partying in Anjuna beach, when trance was not yet a genre, but a state of mind, and where the "tribal element" could be found in all sorts of bizzarre contexts and remote corners...

Eva Geist - Urban Monogamy (Velvet Season & The Hearts of Gold Remix)

Mushrooms Project boys Giorgio Giri and Marco Lentano are back with another strong 12", this time mixing fellow Italian disco outfit Soupaczar (so far as I can tell - Under The Shade never give us the barest sniff of sales info...). Their mix of "So Mr Leary" turns the Italo-prog of the original into an Italo-cosmic-prog driver. It's the A-side rework by Mixed Blood Cuts / Padded Cell man Richard Sen that really caught my ears here though. He dispenses with the rock vocals and heads straight to the dancefloor with an epic cosmic disco driver that really gets in a tight, funky groove - perfect 2am play. Ray Mang is also on hand to add one of his organic, percussive disco refixes, turing the vocals into a disco-not-disco holiday pop sing-along.
