OPENNING FOR SOLOMUN 8/7/23 @ HANGAR Y, PARIS

Neither happy nor sad, RAINDROPS balances bright synth progressions with dreamy vocals to transmit an astoundingly melancholic mood. Sainte Vie masterfully takes advantage of the freedom afforded by the progressive and melodic techno genres to pair a rhythmic, catchy, and richly layered track with poetic lyrics. The vocals invite the listener to think of a time when “fear wasn’t around” while the beat picks up energy. The buildup is reinforced by the melodic singing, culminating in an expansive drop. Following the drop, the track’s lead synth goes up an octave, extending the sensation of climax. Sainte Vie treats us to a constellation of emotions in a harmonic iteration of his eclectic production style.

It was a looong night! finally my remix for ''Oshee - Sea Flight (Navar's Big Dub mix) is done. After a long time working on it, i finally managed to make some changes. Due the fact that it was finished 9 months ago, i had to make some changes to what i like. But that's not all, ^^ Klopfgeist mgmt & me, really liked the other remix that i did as well, and so on, a dub version has been born. Both remixes will be released on Klopfgeist.

Bios:

Ken Roy-
Over the last couple of years Ken Roy has developed a love for deep and soulful underground house music that invokes a spiritual connectedness between those sharing blissful moments on a dance floor. This ranges from slow tribal and oriental deep house to hypnotic progressive house and even sometimes into the realm of techno. Curating  thoughtfully arranged sets has become a creative outlet for him to continue expressing his love and passion for underground dance music.

Kina Forney-
Kina is an emerging multidisciplinary artist based in Ottawa, Ontario. She received a BFA with distinction from the University of Concordia in Montreal in 2009. She is primarily a painter with a background in animation, music, graphic design and computational arts. She has exhibited in both Canada and the USA.

Kina's most recent work is inspired by deep space digital photographs from NASA and the Hubble Space Telescope of visually compelling celestial bodies, specifically nebulae and supernovas. Using public domain images as a starting point, she creates large scale oil paintings highlighting the light, colour and movement in these scenes. The heavens are universally recognizable phenomena recalling humankind’s common ancestry. The space painting series aims to emphasize human connection through mutual acknowledgement of our infinitesimal existence and the urgent need for a sustainable, peaceful future. 

Kina currently practices painting from her home in Ottawa with her husband and two children.
