Since the beginning of Cityscape Sessions with show #001, all the way through this month's #206, Blake Sutherland has served as the show's the musical director, if you will. His sound has evolved, which can clearly be heard by listening to the early mixes, but the ethos of Cityscape Sessions has remained largely unchanged. I had such a great time celebrating capital pride and supporting this fundraiser for Rainbow Brick Road - an Ottawa-based private refugee sponsorship group committed to raising funds and providing multifaceted supports in resettling a LGBTQ refugee couple from the Middle East to Canada.

Blurring the lines between genres, Open Solaris delves into rich, delicate and ethereal soundscapes reminiscent of our universe’s hidden beauty, whilst also reminding us that there is a sinister, and darker side of the unknown; a voyage to a thousand worlds.

With a string of releases in 2019, he has captured the attention of heavy hitters such as Tim Penner, Solid Stone and Pindura to name a few.  With an ever growing catalogue of productions and remixes, he is showing no signs of stopping.  Prolific is a tame adjective to describe Open Solaris’ musical and creative output.
