Spoek Mathambo is a South African artist, musician, songwriter & filmmaker. With three critically acclaimed solo albums under his belt,  not to mention his collaborative projects Fantasma and Batuk, and a documentary on SA electronic music (Future Sound of Mzansi), Spoek Mathambo is a prolific creative, a true music activist, showcasing and stretching the limits of electronic music and hip hop.

On his new album Tales From A Lost City, producer and rapper Spoek Mathambo revisits his first love, Hip-Hop, with a project steeped in rich storytelling, razor sharp social commentary and an endless reserve of gymnastic flows. The concept album drives a cross section through South Africa 2020, to give a view of a highly complex and volatile society struggling to come to grips with its post Apartheid “rainbow nation” dream/nightmare. Spoek Mathambo takes Hip-Hop, the great crucible of culture, and creates a colorful ride through a diverse set of soundscapes, each emboldening Mathambo’s no-holds-bar approach to songwriting. 

The eclectic self produced album features guest appearances from scratch DJ Raiko and collaborations with Batuk, Spizzy, Mark Mushiva, Vuyo and Daev Martian.

Swiss DJ Alex Attias returns to BBE with a second helping of uptempo cuts, perfectly encapsulating his LillyGood Party! sound.

Founder of the recently revived Visions imprint, a long-time collector and a revered selector, Alex Attias is, before everything, a refined producer whose musical craft has seen him travel the globe, most notably with an extended stint in the birthplace of the bruk sound, London.

The tracks you’ll find on this compilation are all current favourites, or proven classics that have never left Alex's record box at the LillyGood Parties, a gathering Alex and his brother Stephane run in their hometown of Lausanne, Switzerland.

LillyGood Party! Vol.2 is another testament to Attias’ unswerving taste for smooth yet intricate, subtly layered yet deeply rooted dance compositions; some subtly edited for maximum dance-floor effect.

Featuring instantly recognisable names such as Louie Vega's Elements Of Life, Peven Everett and even Pharoah Sanders, LillyGood Party 2 also sheds light on some lesser-known artists, digging out some gems, buried deep across the jazz, disco and electronic musical strata.

Gini Lambor, Goddess from Utura Univers IV, came through a portal in Bosnia Herzegovina to heal the world in the year 1999. Due to an energetic overload, expected to be induced by a sudden shift of angles in the magnetic field between the alpha univers and the ζήτα atmosphere, the portal closed after the appearance of Gini and faded away completely a few days later under unexplainable and mysterious circumstances. It’s invisibility is yet unveiled, due to a vulnerability and the only obstacle to become human – the weakness bias the absence of light. Traveling with no rest until either the lost portal becomes present again or the sudden disappearance of immortality.
