The Music PEI 2021 Canadian Songwriter Challenge was an online songwriter challenge. Due to COVID-19 2 Canadian songwriters were paired together and with the help of a producer, required to write and record the material themselves, these songs were then mixed by by their producer.

The participants had the opportunity to share their new demos with industry professionals taking part Music PEI's annual Canadian Song Conference. Our partners this year were Music BC, Sask Music, Music Ontario, Music NB, Music Nova Scotia, Music YT, Alberta Music, Music Ontario and Manitoba Music along with CCMIA and supported by Bell Media, FACTOR, ACOA and the Province of Prince Edward Island.
