Sven Fredrik är kanske i första hand trummis (inte slagverkare) men nu är han aktuell med sin andra fullängdare med elektronisk musik på Lamour Records i Gävle där han också bor. Här berättar han om hur han började trumma, hur han tar sig an det elektroniska i sin musik och dessutom pratar vi en del om vårt gemensamma projekt med ett konstigt franskt namn. Våra låtar har inte släppts ännu men några har spelats i Lamours inboxspecial och vi siktar på att få ut en EP till våren. Jag är jätteglad att Sven Fredrik hörde av sig via Instagram den där gången för nåt år sen och att vi kunde få till den här intervjun! Frusen kärlek på Hagaströms IP (Frozen love on Hagaströms IP) is a profound retrospect of a childhood whose dreams were not long-lasting goals but the reality of the future. But when childhood was slowly left, the more distant the dream seemed to be and new life goals were sketched to be realized. The place, in this case Hagaströms IP, the sports ground in Gävle's western outskirts, was home to the dream that would come alive. A vision that remained a fantasy and remained a frozen dream with that.

Anna-Karin Berglund (AKB) is a musician and composer from Gävle, the electronica pearl by the ocean. Her piece Siren contains melodies moving slowly, forming a menacing, drone-like atmosphere where the soaring laments are able to float freely across the sonic panorama. Kind of like a monotonous chant on repeat, like a whistle or a wail, or your worst tinnitus episode.A lingering echo of tapered layers creates a backdrop of slender siren calls. 

The first release under her own name came in April 2016 on the EP Söndagsbarn (via Lamour Records), where the four tracks carries clear influences from the 70-80's ambient with its space-fragrant, cosmic soundscapes.

Every day for 24 days we get a new song, we start soft and let the intensity and energy rise until December 24th. C-60 Ice Frosty tape in flexible frosty polycase.This is the release of a live show that took place on an early Sunday morning at Little Art Cakery in Gävle, Sweden 2019, thus aptly named Ambient Morning. The intention with making this recording in the first place was to capsulate the restful and atmospheric state of mind present on that January morning, in an otherwise bleakly winter town. The little café located in the old harbor warehouses was packed with breakfast guests willing to combine their morning coffee with some slow moving soundscapes, meant to produce a temporary reprieve from everyday insanity.

Both AKB and Slim Vic are musicians well-versed in the genre and have worked on deepening their personal takes on the aural expression separately. In recent years, they have cooperated in different live contexts, through remixes and through joint releases, such as “Frusen Kärlek på Hagaströms IP” (2018).

The majority of the tracks are recorded, produced and mixed in Gävle, Sweden between 2018 and 2019 and a few of them are resurrected treasures I thought was lost a long time ago. This album is a showdown with the stormy clouds of the past four years, followed by a sanative reconciliation.
