Ellington's Sacred Music Concert: The Spirit of Duke Ellington at Sing Sing

A group of talented men organize and perform musical selections written or inspired by Duke Ellington as part of the Resident Ensemble at Sing Sing Correctional Facility. They collaborate with Carnegie Hall Musical Connections artists throughout the season to develop instrumental and vocal skills-- as well as general musicianship-- to generate new music and perform for large audiences at the facility.

Twenty-seven talented men create original music as part of the Resident Ensemble at Sing Sing Correctional Facility. They collaborate with Carnegie Hall Musical Connections artists throughout the season to develop instrumental and vocal skills-- as well as general musicianship-- to generate new music and perform for large audiences at the facility.

In support of All Together: A Global Ode to Joy, Carnegie Hall has prepared learning tracks for singers in the choir for Beethoven Symphony No. 9, Movement 4.  The choral part is split into 7 separate cues, each represented by a different audio track.  (NOTE: All measure numbers refer to the Barenreiter Urtext edition of the score)
