This track was being worked on originally for "Art Imitates Life" but didn't get finished in time to make the mastering session. It still hasn't been 100% finished. The scratches that were planned for the chorus where never laid down, but the track is still absolutely punishing.

Hardy Boys Mystery Ft. Stricklin of eMC & SPEAK Easy

During the recording sessions for "Transistor" back in 2009/10 AUTOMatic hooked up with fellow House of M emcee Dana Coppa to record this track. Though it wasn't on the album, it deserves to be unearthed. Portions of APRIME's lyrics were remolded to be used later (which they were, but I'm not telling where because its more fun for you to listen to figure it out). This is a throwback to when the House of M were together and the toast of Milwaukee. 

The Doo Doo ft. Dana Coppa

The second single from the upcoming release AUTOMatic Presents - 3099 is an introspective track in which APRIME - as his alter-ego 3099 - rhetorically asks the question "what if?" 

After doing music in Milwaukee for over a decade as a solo artist, 1/2 of Class:Sick, one of the most notable members of hip-hop group House of M, and as the emcee of the well respected underground group AUTOMatic, he looks back at all of the effort and time spent on doing what he loves and mulls over the idea of what if he never tried to follow his dreams? The question of whether or not it has all been worth it also looms large on the song.

Featuring soul singer Lex Allen ("Cream and Sugar") of the continuously buzz worthy Milwaukee music collective New Age Narcissism (Webster X, Lorde Fredd33, Q the Sun, etc.) on the chorus, the smooth rapping and singing blend together to create a true piece of mood music.

AUTOMatic Presents - 3099 will be released in the middle of April independently via Transistor Sound through the AUTOMatic Bandcamp page and all other traditional digital platforms.

Ostinato ft. Lex Allen

3099 is the alias and side project of AUTOMatic's emcee APRIME (born Darius Windom) and serves as an introduction to the larger scope and broader horizons of APRIME's songwriting abilities. By operating under the moniker 3099, Windom is able to step outside of APRIME's typical hip-hop sensibilities to favor a more funk, electronic, and R&B based approach to music. 

This project also serves as a launching point for APRIME's and DJ JDL Rockwell's production venture known as Surrender Dorothee as 5 of the 6 tracks are produced by S.D. The production mixes live playing with drum programming and the occasional usage of a sample. 

When all is said and done, 3099 is a project that demos the many different facets Windom brings to the music game, but it is in no way a simple demo. 3099 is a complex project that walks the listener through a multitude of concepts and emotions that everybody can relate to, and that ability to make music people can relate to is what gives this side project - just like all of the other music Windom has written in or apart from AUTOMatic - it's charm.

For the 3rd single from their upcoming full length, Marathon (11.11.16), Milwaukee's smooth hip-hop group AUTOMatic brings the classic early 90's R&B vibes with their certified slow jaw "You Don't Love Me." Emcee APRIME explores what it's like to be caught in the trap of a love/hate relationship - something all of us have been in at least once in our life. Producer Trellmatic's production is top notch and he adds updated drums to the retro groove. This one is for everybody that grew up with the Quiet Storm radio show playing in the background, late at night.

You Don't Love Me(Trellmatic Re-imagination)

Trellmatic, the beatsmith behind the music of AUTOMatic, is officially launching his debut beat tape project - Fruischine. This name comes from the two platforms the producer uses to make his classic hip-hop tapestries.

Fruischine drops Friday, September 22, for FREE!!! It contains over an hour of sweet soul sample based, hypnotic grooves, presented in old school liner tape style. Just imagine popping in a blank cassette tape with unknown amounts of street heat and you dare not skip ahead because you never know what will happen next!

Fruischine was given the proper mix treatment by forever AUTOMatic member DJ JDL Rockwell, and the artwork was done by frequent AUTOMatic collaborator Dana Coppafeel.

After a decade of working as the beatsmith for the Milwaukee hip-hop group AUTOMatic (alongside rapper/songwriter APRIME 3099), producer Trellmatic is now ready to step into the spotlight through the release of his first solo project - a beat tape named Fruischine. Presented in old school "tape" format, the listener is forced to linger on the project because there is no skipping tracks - there is only the opportunity for sonic discovery. Masterfully mixed and blended by emeritus member of AUTOMatic, DJ JDL Rockwell, Trellmatic's beats come through crystal clear and showcase why the soul sample and the chop will never go out of style to those looking for that classic sound. This project evokes the memories of the days when hip-hop producers would pass tapes full of snippets and skeletons of their hottest beats to MCs which would inspire fights of who got to rap over what.
