An upbeat tropical-inspired take on the already infectious vocal of the original. I took the vocal and a few select percussion elements from the original, and set out to emphasize the already fantastic chords.

Adding in a dance piano, a plucky 'tropical' lead and some additional rhythmic elements, I am really happy with how my remix turned out :) Thanks again to Borgeous, Jordyn Jones and SKIO for hosting the remix contest and for giving back to the community. Hope you enjoy!

My 2nd track is a remix of ‘Anything Anymore’, by LZRD and Jake Miller 😎

The original is a great mix of future bass and house, and I especially liked the vocal. My remix took it in a straightforward EDM format - the drop is inspired by Avicii’s ‘Dear Boy’ (the lead sound is especially similar), and I decided to strip the breaks down to give the vocal the focus it deserves 🎤

🎧  This is the first set I have ever played, which I practised probably 25 times before recording this 😬 This was filmed at a popular walking spot near the beach and I definitely got some strange looks while filming this, especially considering the entire thing was mixed in my headphones so it was completely silent for the audience of 2 😂 Hope you guys like it!

Hues - Summer 2021 - First DJ Set!

Time for another new remix...👀🔥

This one is a tropical remix of Hanne Mjøen’s Strangers. I was listening to lots of Sam Feldt and Kygo when I produced this one, and tried to bring their influence into the track. The original has an 80’s vibe to it, so this is a very different take on the original.

I especially focused on the percussion in this track, adding more little elements like hats, percussive hits and toms to try and give it that ‘tropical’ feeling. Adding the percussion to the plucky ‘xylophone’ lead gave it a nice mix of organic and synthetic elements :)
