march is the current moniker of singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kitty O’Neal. Lived human experience, nostalgia, grief, and longing are often what inspire march’s storytelling, which has evolved through the years into a unique pool of sound, transcending the borders between alt-folk and indie. With thoughtful harmonic changes, floating vocals, and a resounding ethereality, march has incorporated her diverse tastes into upcoming EP Greens and Blues which is due for release in 2023. 

2021 release ‘All of the Above’ showcased march’s distinct and introspective lyric-writing style, as well as an emotive vocal performance that has been likened to Joni Mitchell, Phoebe Bridgers, and Feist. ‘All of the Above’ explores themes of dreams, identity and memory, and was funded by Help Musicians UK ‘Do it Differently’ fund. 

march cut her teeth on the south coast music scene before relocating to London and has performed at venues across the UK including multiple slots at Glastonbury and Sofar Sounds.
