Born in Hong Kong, Stephanie Alison Au grew up playing piano, singing Frank Sinatra tunes, and watching Hollywood classics that captivated her as much for the soundtrack as for the narrative. 
 
Stephanie thinks of music as a form of sociology -- a combination of sound and silence that we all share. She writes and records music that is lean, taut and often atmospheric, influenced as much by Ennio Morricone as Danny Elfman. She is a firm believer in the power of music to evoke emotion, establish context and complement a story. 

An M.F.A. candidate in Composition at the Academy of Art University, Stephanie has provided soundtrack scoring and sound design services for numerous projects and productions, including the animated films "Prey", "Yummy Prey" and "Creature Feature", and for Inbox Magazine.
