Exotic to Joy (Electone & Piano Duet)

Glennis has a strong passion for Music since the age of three. She was enrolled into Yamaha Music School’s Junior Music Course at the age of four, and has started learning Classical Piano and theory since then. 

At the age of fifteen, she developed a strong interest for writing, mainly instrumental piano pieces as well as mandarin pop music. She has entered a few competitions, dating all the way back from 2004, and has successfully gained recognition from Touch Music Publishings. She was offered a contract as a Song Writer with the organization in 2005.

Soon after, she was fascinated by the sound of Contemporary and Jazz Music; her main influences were Maksim Mrvica and Wang Leehom. She picked up Jazz Studies in Lasalle College of the Arts, and graduated with a Diploma in Music and a Diploma of Higher Education in Music. She then ventured into composing and arranging Jazz-Pop originals, which are broadcasted on the SongsIWrite platform.

Glennis has also been venturing in her teaching career, and was successfully auditioned by Yamaha Music School in 2008. She has been teaching the Yamaha Junior Course (YJC) for young kids, back to the origins where she started her Music Education when she was still a child. She has also been teaching private individual Classical as well as Contemporary Music. She hopes to share her love for Music with the new generation of enthusiasts.
