On June 24, 1971, Bill Schonely was a guest on the Arthur Godfrey show, which was aired daily on the CBS radio network.   KOIN Radio, the flagship station of the Blazers, carried the show in Portland.  Godfrey was doing a week of shows from Portland & had Schonz as a guest.   Schonz was asked about "Rip City."    This audio is extra rare as this is the only radio audio known from the Blazers first season.   The song is sung by Bob Swanson, who was a long time DJ at KEX.
