Most djs and house-lovers remembers the classic “Lucky Star” from the year 2000.
It was a big commercial hit and carried a wonderful soulful vocal by Ron Carroll.
So when we heard the track was free &amp; on the market after 10 years with EMI we grabbed the chance to do something different with it.
“Luckily” Superfunk and the owners (DJ Center Music Group) was really into the idea of taking the track deeper and building 100% new productions underneath the wonderful vocals and “Luckily” we had some brilliant remixers who were into creating the new music.

Solomun Remix
Everything Solomun touches right now turns to gold and this remix is no exception.
Clever arrangement, fantastic groove and melodies mixed with his immense production techniques make this remix another instant winner.

Hot Since 82 Remix
Hot on the wheels of “Let It Ride” Hot Since 82 strips the whole thing down to the spoken vocals only. Another fantastic clubby groove and atmosphere. A pitched down and darker take on the track that works perfectly as a dub for those who don’t like the vocals that much.

Kolombo Remixes
Where do we begin with this guy. He just keeps shooting out great productions almost like a tireless machine. The Smooth Remix is a delicious downtempo masterpiece using oldschool synths to make it all irresistible and charming. Works perfectly with the soulful vocals. The 303 Dub takes you back to the late 80's with its pitched down and dark vocal snippets and those classic 303 patterns.

NYLO is pleased to welcome back MotiBo to the label with his brand new ‘First Time EP’. On his return he delivers an outstanding EP filled with amazing vocals from Ryan Konline and great club appeal. This is probably MotiBo's biggest work to date, making it one of those releases that make you sit up and take notice.

The EP opens with the title track 'First Time', a great track to warm the heart, which showcases great sampling work by creating different climates all building around a lovely groove. MotiBo delivers lots of trickery, stunning synth chords and great vocals from Ryan Konline, before unleashing a melodic hook that is intertwined with infectious rhythms. ‘First Time’ is all about the deep disco vibes and Ryan’s indie melancholic vocals working their magic around wonderfully arranged keys. The track captures the essence of Motibo's sound while being the perfect companion for different moments and feelings. Essential stuff!

With the second track MotiBo drops the lovely 'What You Don’t Know', a modern beach house jam with all the right elements. The smooth bass and great synth arrangements create a sexy, provocative atmosphere while the vocals make words settle in truly magical fashion. Combined with intricately weaved chord progressions, stunning vocal work that builds to a laid-back crescendo of breathy grooves and chord stabs, creating special memories every time you listen to it.  Do we need say more?

Hedonism (derivative from the ancient Greek word hēdoné meaning "delight, pleasure, lust"). It describes a philosophy which argues that pleasure is the only intrinsic good. Simply put, a hedonist strives to maximize his/her absolute pleasure. It is the idea that all people have the right to do everything in their power to achieve the greatest amount of pleasure possible to them. 
The basic thesis of this lifestyle is reflected in the music of Hedonsim Music.

The first release with the number HED001 comes from the Kenyan artist, Imany.

Translated from her Kiswahili mother tongue, Imany means “Faith”, which is a term that runs like a thread throughout the inception of this Franco-African soul newcomer.

When Nadia Mladjao (alias Imany) returned to Paris around three years ago, she did not                  have much in her tiny suitcase except a few dresses, a photo album and a demo CD with six self-written songs on it. The exceptionally talented Imany grew up in a small suburb of the French capital. Later she worked as a sought-after fashion model in New York for seven years before deciding she had enough of simply being an changeable clothing rail and giving up that life to pursue her big passion – music.  To finally be free again – free to start something new. To venture far away from the superficial fashion industry and into reality.

In May the single, “You Will Never Know“ will be released on Beatport, including a top-class remix package. Manchester underground hero, Miguel Campbell from the cult label Hot Creations and the Berlin deep house icon, Phonique have done two outrages mixes.
