'Get Physical Music looks to Vienna's talented Theo Meier for a pair of richly detailed new house tracks.

Theo’s sound takes in deep, organic and melodic fusions of house and techno composed with moving harmonies, catchy grooves, and warm synth sounds. He runs his Weltn Audio label and has also released on Poesie Musik and Stil Vor Talent and Get Physical before now.

He opens up his latest transmission with the immediately warm and infectious 'Forgive Forget'. The chunky bass and drums draw you in, and breathy vocal sounds and catchy synth hooks all keep you locked as the bubbling groove playfully unfolds. There is just as much character in 'Kurios', another charming house track with an effervescing groove that is stylishly off-kilter while melodic daubs, bright pads and neon keys all colour in the airwaves in fine fashion.

'As Connected arrives at its 3rd year of existence, the team have decided to put together a compilation of tracks old and new that showcases its musical diversity.

On this sampler are brand new remixes from Olaf Stuut, Tim Engelhardt, Stefano Ritteri, Reboot and Moscoman, and they will be released on vinyl alongside a brand new track from label heads Stereo MC’s, plus the first appearance on vinyl of classic connected release ‘Lust’ by Tigerskin K.E.E.N.E and Elli (David Mayer Remix). The full compilation, meanwhile, features catalogue cuts by David Mayer, Re.You, Nandu, Florian Busse, Aaaron, Floyd Lavine and Pôngo amongst others.

Frank Heinrich aka Reboot delivers a remix in typical and well-known manner. This piece doesn't have a loud eccentric nature but grabs your attention over time and is not going to leave you until it's over.

Following on from his acclaimed remix of Dubfire featuring Carl Craig, Berlin-based Tibi Dabo returns to Crosstown Rebels with Disbelieve. It marks the first of three EP’s to be released on Damian's label this year, ahead of a much-anticipated debut album in October.

The EP begins with the rolling sounds of Disbelieve. Chugging along with a gently changing bassline, the lead synth reverberates alongside whispering hats and wonderfully emotive keys, before Tibi Dabo showcases his heavier side with Hire The Birds. Beginning with a pummelling kick, we are soon introduced to a mysteriously echoing vocal that winds into a melodic, celestial-like drop. Dj Balduin rounds off the release with a subtle, yet similarly hard-edged rendition of the second track. Up-tempo and incredibly danceable, synths shimmer alongside pumping drums and ethereal, bell-like chimes.

No stranger to Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels, young Max Guardans AKA Tibi Dabo has carved out a sound that is wise beyond his years. At just twenty-three the Barcelona native has already remixed Damian himself, on last year’s Diamond In The Dark re-release, a testament to his skill and dexterity as a producer, whilst his previous full-length productions on Crosstown showcase the breadth of his ever growing sound. Dj Balduin has already made a significant impact in the electronic music scene, with an album already under his belt as well as a debut release last year on leading melodic techno label Kompakt.

Italian-mainstay Francesca Lombardo welcomes in Echoe’s twentieth release with the three-track Horizone​. Speaking on the inspiration behind the release, Francesca described how​: “​The tracks remind me of good moments. I wanted to call the EP ‘Horizone’ as a wish for a brighter future in our industry!​ "

The title track kicks things off in a punchy fashion, as a minimal-leaning bassline chugs along with dreamy synths in the background. Space-like keys build tension, paving the way for a weighty kick-hat combo throughout. ​Darne soon takes the helm, appearing as a gritty late-night cut with hard-edged drum patterns and eerie piano rolls, before ​Sharon finishes proceedings, blending acid-twinged pulses with a tough, club-ready groove.

Label founder of Echoe and Echolette, ​Francesca Lombardo ​shines the light for Italy’s thriving electronic music output. Alongside running two labels, 2019 saw her feature on Poker Flat Recordings’ twentieth anniversary compilation with ​Flumen​, whilst this year has seen her produce ​A Million Souls ​for John Digweed’s Quattro VA on Bedrock Records. Add to this the recent ​Call Me Wrong ​remix release, which ​features incredible edits from genuine dance music royalty in the form of The Orb and 808 State, as well as her August remix of Amtrac and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs’ ​Radical,​ and it is safe to say 2020 is on track to be one of her biggest years yet. Alongside her musical work, Francesca also heads up the ‘Life of Releaf’ project, tackling the issue of climate change and deforestation by donating money from album and ticket sales to plant trees in partnership with non profit organisation, One Tree Planted.
