With a multi-decade spanning back catalogue behind him, Bearface aka Raj Panasa shows no signs of slowing down. Over the years he has built a sturdy reputation around his distinct and innovative feel-good touch whether that be on his own Beartone Records, or the many other labels he has shared his classy sound with.

“Remakes and Raw Cuts Vol. 1” is the launch of a new vinyl series from the London-based producer, a safe place for him to showcase his eclectic sound, alongside edits and remakes of some of his favourites over the years, all finding a home on his Beartone label.

Starting off on the A side Bearface provides a funk fuelled latin explosion with his version of the classic “Tudo Que Você Podia Ser”, sassy disco attitude ready for the summer months, presenting some unforgivable dance floor mania. The A2 “Got To Be” is an original cut, meandering between playful guitar licks, and stripped back, hypnotic percussion, there is a curious atmosphere as the track continues to simmer.

On the flip side an edit from the revered beatmaker. First up he edits “Tell Me I’m Not Dreamin’” by Jermaine Jackson, the infectious vocal injects a zesty life into a killer electro groove, a playful and animated trip ready to rock the floor! Closing out the EP is the retro sounding “Everything”, the robotic vocal flashes in and out, nodding towards Daft Punk, boasting beautiful strings and crispy hi-hats bringing that day time energy.

Bearface teasing those summer moments with a jam packed EP brimming with sunshine and positivity, dive in and feel the fun!

Yazmina is on a roll right now. The Moroccan English producer and DJ steps onto Yousef’s Circus Recordings with her Amnesia EP, a sharp two tracker built for dark rooms and late nights.

The title cut hits first. Amnesia nods to the Ibiza institution and pairs Yazmina’s deep jackin groove with Lucky Samurai’s spoken word. Big bass. Bright stabs. Space for the vocal to glide. It builds slow pressure then drops you right back into the floor.

Flangé Bongo flips the script. A cheeky vocal. Chopped up percussion. A tight rolling groove. It is Yazmina at her most playful, weaving classic house ideas with her own twist.

She has been building fast since 2022, drawing support from Jamie Jones, Amine Edge and Dance, Syreeta, Peggy Gou, Arielle Free, Jammer, Hilit Kolet, and Juliet Mendoza. Releases on Hottrax, Nervous, Glasgow Underground, Under No Illusion, and Circus have shown the direction she is moving in. Her focus stays on original work with vocalists. She wants a catalogue people will sample years from now.

Today she steps into our Spotlight Mix with a set that shows where she is heading. Deep cuts. Rolling house. A few curveballs. Plenty of groove. Two tracks from her Amnesia EP land inside and they sit comfortably next to the heavy hitters she has chosen.

Brazil keeps pushing new heat, and FLOWFAT is leading the charge. 

His ‘Jacuzzi’ EP has just dropped on Metamorfosi Records, and he rolls straight into this spotlight mix with the kind of punchy house cuts that hit basements, rooftops, and sweaty warehouse corners the right way. His EP slots perfectly into the story, showing off why his sound is travelling fast.

FLOWFAT has carved out his place in Brazil’s rising underground. 

Thick drums, cheeky rhythms, and basslines that keep crowds hooked. You might know him from Notik, Gruuving, Hot, or that smart edit of Sidney Charles’ Talk About Jack. The new EP builds on all of that, carrying the same bite and bounce that defines his sets.

This mix gives you the full flavour. 

It warms up with tough rollers from Iglesias, Rendher, Angel Heredia, and Supernova, then slides into FLOWFAT’s own world. Antidot, Memorian, Hot, and the title track, Jacuzzi, all pop up in the flow, each one pushing the energy into that late-night zone where the floor pulls you in and never lets go.

Steve Kelley returns to Sublease Music with “Deep Inside,” a sleek two-tracker that distills his signature blend of groove, melody and deep, chunky house into a focused dancefloor statement. 

The title cut is a deep and driving house workout with hypnotic grooves, warm textures and a smooth, rolling low end built for the late hours, while Steve Bug’s remix tightens the screws with punchy drums, rubbery bass pressure, and restrained synth sparkle aimed squarely at peak time. 


“Relax” offsets propulsive drums with lush chords, soulful atmospheres, and luminous hooks, flowing with subtle emotion for a timeless groove that invites you to slow down and lose yourself as the EP closes on a hypnotic, sundown note.

Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons return to Crosstown Rebels with the iconic I Found You, remixed by Black Coffee and former resident of Trouw Patrice Bäumel.

Lazarus closed his Day Zero festival in Mexico with I Found You back in January, and since then it has become one of his most requested tracks. His magical live project The Ancient Moons was first unleashed in 2014 with Lover’s Eyes (Mohe Pi Ki Najariya) and followed in 2015 by the highly acclaimed album, A Message From The Other Side, co-produced with James Ford. Since then, Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons have travelled the world with their highly immersive live show, supported Roisin Murphy on tour and played at Glastonbury festival and Melt! amongst others.

The Fader labelled The Ancient Moons “a journey into techno’s dreamiest recesses” and the four piece have been continually shrouded in mystery. Last year Lazarus and his collection of musicians retreated into the Italian countryside and started work on new and self-produced material. The Ancient Moons brings together Zulu on vocals, Ben Chetwood on electronics, and Rob Gentry on keyboards. I Found You is the first fruits of their labour. Continuing a path first started by the band’s anthemic single Vermillion, I Found You is intensely soulful, warm and paired with anthemic vocals from singer Zulu. This the first of a string of tracks from the band in 2017.

Lazarus comments: “This is the first time I've created music in a band situation and I loved every moment of it. I decided to make the new music as a collective and the four of us have created magic. The energy that we enjoyed from beginning to end of this process was electric."

Champion of the South African electronic scene Black Coffee supplies the first remix, and takes I Found You to new dimensions. This is a rare remix outing from this pioneering South African DJ. Amsterdam based Patrice Bäumel is a former resident of the now legendary Trouw and has released on Get Physical, Systematic, Diynamic, Kompakt and My Favorite Robot among others. Patrice adds complexity and takes things deeper and more atmospheric. It’s quite the package.

Danish artist Be Svendsen combines once more with the Crosstown Rebels crew, following on from his emphatic NU 'Man O To' remix, which landed in late February. The latest collaboration comes in the form of the new 'Twilight in Tankwa' EP, it comes with two original cuts as well as a remix from Berlin native Nico Stojan. Lasse Bruhn Svendsen ,as he's known to his friends and family, has been a proponent of refreshing electronic music since his emergence in 2014 and the work he started continues with yet another special record. The title track is a slow-winding groover that's coated with intricate melodic touches, while an engrossing atmosphere rotates around a punchy drum ensemble.
