Long-time German house label Kittball welcome Italian pair The Deepshakerz for two more of their effective dance floor detonators.
This duo of Domy Berardino and Mirco Sonatore are real musical magpies who draw from old school, new school, Chicago, afro, vocal and tech styles to cook up their high impact sounds. They are favoured by DJs like Luciano, Dubfire and Loco Dice and land on highly visible labels like Saved and Snatch! amongst many others.
Opener ‘Caipirinha’ is as steamy and tropical as it sounds thanks to the well-treated female vocal line that adds fiery soul up top. The clattering drums and hits are perfectly raw and bristling and sure to pump up the energy levels on any dance floor.
Showing off another side to their sound is the deliciously deep and dynamic ‘Faded Rainbow.’ With another anthemic vocal drifting up top, warm drums and crisp percussion carve out a serious groove below. Raver, electrical engineer, and modular wunderkind Lubelski has today released his debut album, ‘Universal Groove’ on the Percomaniacs imprint. The nine track album represents a new chapter for Lubelski, one marked by a deeper understanding of sonic exploration far beyond his years. 

Spawned from years locked away in dimly lit studios with friends and collaborators, ‘Universal Groove’ represents a sense of dancefloor unification and the rhythmic love of underground scenes past and present. It's a feeling, a coming together under one roof to celebrate, escape, and learn from those that paved the way for our global community of dancers. This is for the love of it all. 

In Lubelski’s own words, “The Universal Groove, to me, is about love. The beat is indifferent to you so we have to care about each other. We all come together under this roof of rhythms to lift each other up and find an escape from the mundanity of daily life. This album culminates in love and all its shades and colors, whether it’s about falling in love, having love for each other, or showing self love. We are all unified by the universal groove of house music.”

The album comes strong with collaborations from fellow souls of the underground close to Lubelski’s heart like vocalists Kaleena Zanders, MOONz, Rodney, and Jackson Englund, plus producers Durante, RYBO, Wyatt Marshall, Morpei, and Musahi. Lubelski’s own vocal stylings can also be heard on tunes like ‘Can’t Rewind’ and ‘Crashing Down’ - a further development of truly being a musical jack of all trades.

This love swept mantra is fitting for a producer who has seen such deep support from a wide group of collectives and artists around the world. The last few years have seen Lubelski championed by the likes of Claude VonStroke’s Dirtybird, Audiojack’s Gruuv, the Desert Hearts Crew, and many others - all of whom revere him as a member of the next generation of tech-minded, studio devotees.

Welcome aboard, Dompe! The Cologne-based DJ and producer, better known to his friends and family under the name of Dominic Wagner, touches down on Formatik+ with a new two track single, presenting a serious label debut after making waves on imprints like Jackfruit, Style Rockets, Ostfunk and more for about a decade now.

Opening with "Coke Power" Dompe is on a high octane uptempo TechHouse tip from the get go, combining a sweet hi-hat shuffle with super seductive bass grooves as well as a killer vocal sample from the Funk-driven past, adding a bit of extra fuel for all them peaktime punters out there.

The subsequent "Active" presents a similar attitude in terms of seductive hyperfunctionality and precisely rolling grooves, yet employs a sharper overall tonality, percussive, mechanical sample use as well as classic white noise sweeps and a large scale, highly recognizable synth motif for ecstatic moments of relief whenever the track breaks down for a moment.

The 'In Your Soul' EP is truly reflective of Cj Jeff's signature sound; uniting organic drums, intense risers, heavyweight House percussion, a grooving low-end, pulsating basslines and intoxicating synthesized melodies fused together with the hypnotic funk-laden vocals of Georges Perin who has performed alongside legends James Brown and Nina Simone.
