The title reflects the unpredictability of my journey and the fact that when it all comes down to it, I have less control over what happens in my life than think I do, but I still always end up where I want to be. Life is a rough ride, but it's worth traveling the bumpy roads if you don't give up and see it through.

I took some of the original DOS MIDIs from Arena and quickly reorchestrated them for fun with my high quality sample library. With this particular track I extended it and built it up a bit towards the end. I love Soule's scores from Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim, but there's also some beautiful work in the older games as well that has gone unsung (pardon the pun).

Spiral Sky

A complete rerecording of a megamix I made for almost all of the various Duke Nukem themes way back in 2008 for a Dwelling of Duels competition (my first entry actually). I was commissioned to make it for a (sadly now cancelled) combined port of Duke Nukem 3D, Duke Nukem 64, and Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown for the Android platform. The only major differences between this new version and the old version are the removal of the Duke Nukem 64 intro and the Duke Nukem II theme (replaced by the Duke3D bonus theme). The themes in order are:

-Duke Nukem 3D (PC)
-Megadeth Theme
-Solo section from Lee Jackson's extended Grabbag (from the Atomic CD)
-Duke Nukem Forever 2007 Teaser Trailer Theme
-Duke Nukem: Zero Hour

A cover of "Shared Dig" by Alexander Brandon (FunkyRustic) from the 1998 game "Unreal" that I started a few years back and never finished. Features both acoustic and electric guitar. Really would like to revisit it sometime and finish it up.

I started a chiptune version of Duke Nukem 3D's first level music "Stalker" by Lee Jackson years ago and never finished it. Just decided to finish it up out of the blue.

Stalker 1000 (Duke3D Tandy 3-voice remix)

I recorded this as a labour of love. Took me two days and was made entirely in Reason 4.0 back in 2009. I uploaded it to YouTube and to date it is my most watched video with over 46,000 views(at the time of this writing). I've always loved the soundtrack or this movie when I was a kid and this song in particular was my favourite. There are no vocals (I'd never do them justice), but the lead sections are played on piano.

Forever Young HQ Rerecording (from Care Bears Movie II by Carol & Dean Parks)

Some synth with a sort of jazz feel. I'll add guitar later on.

I was fooling around with changing the chord progression to the original song (which is my favourite from the Mike Oldfield album The Songs of Distant Earth) and came up with something rather interesting. So I took it further and added more elements and mixed it up a little. A fun experiment.

A chiptune song I made with DefleMask tracker in SMS mode. I love the Texas Instruments SN76489 sound from the Sega Master System/Game Gear and old Tandy computers. The song doesn't have a point it just exists and sound like "level one" so that's what I called it.
