Encom Part II is one of my favourite tracks from the movie, TRON: Legacy. Massive commendation for Daft Punk who were able to deliver such a unique and epic soundtrack for the film. To me, the composition for the film's entire OST is like the perfect mix of electronic music and acoustic orchestration.

The main theme is of course the most memorable and one of the most grand pieces of the score, but I had an idea for "Encom Part II" specifically. The original piece starts off already with a slightly subtle, but entrancing melody line. Eventually the song roars into loud mix of instrumental layers and hasty rhythms that keep the song pumping until the end. 

At first I wanted to make a multi-instrumental cover like some of my other videos (with guitar and drums, etc), but I thought it would be more interesting to re-create a similar tone for this song with only piano...multiple pianos.

 I've decided to finally record another "full" acoustic guitar cover (with only a little bit of piano in the background).

I've been playing 'The Last Of Us' and I have to say that it's quite a brilliant game. "The Path" is played during the credits after the game's ending cinematic. I've also recorded and used some gameplay footage in this video for additional visuals as well as to showcase the game.

It's been almost a year since I've uploaded a Pokemon piano solo (can't believe it's been that long!). Suffice to say...this cover has been long overdue. 

Here I cover the extremely sentimental track, the town/city theme for Ecruteak and Cianwood City. Pokemon Silver was a BIG part of my childhood, so these soundtracks always hit me straight in the feels and take me down memory lane. These games released about 14 and a half years ago (late 2000). I was probably just 9 or 10 when I first started playing Silver. Where did the time go?! I seriously need to cover more tracks from Pokemon GSC. ;__;

I've wanted to cover this one for quite some time. This game is almost 10 years old, so this piece has existed for a while and there are numerous piano covers of this out there already. Therefore I wanted to make this arrangement a little more unique by playing an extra slow and relaxing, almost lullaby-like version, in contrast to the normally waltz-like and cheerful mood in the original track.

The main theme of the game Batman: Arkham City, one of the best superhero games of all time in my opinion. Most people who have played, or is a fan of this game, would know that this theme plays in the main menu of the game. Therefore I've recorded and included footage of the main menu in this cover (for the video) for nostalgic reasons. 

I've arranged and written sheets for this duet, so I'll be posting those sometime in the future when they've been finalized.

Nostalgia to the max. It takes me back all the way to the original Gold/Silver, when entering the national park and the music suddenly gets all melancholic but at the same time super relaxing. I love the remix/remake of this track from the Heartgold/Soulsilver version of the OST, so I based my cover on that one. 

And of course I had to keep the fancy intro because it's such a signature part of it. Gotta love all the 7th chords in this piece...

*This post is about a week late, sorry!*

As 2017 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the six and a half years that I've been making videos on YouTube. At the very beginning it was just a very casual hobby - recording random things on the piano and simply uploading them with little to no edits, just as an attempt to show the internet some of my music. But as time progressed, this process of recording, editing, and uploading music videos became more enjoyable. The amount of support that I've gotten from you guys continuously motivated me to put more effort into my work. Now when I look back at my library of videos, it pleases me so much to see how far I have come in music and to know that throughout the years, your encouragement and positivity helped me develop this passion for sharing music. I'll always be grateful for that~

So, heartfelt thanks to all who have stuck around my channel for so long and have given me endless support. And for the newcomers, I hope you'll enjoy what I have to offer :3

This one was recorded with the Steinway back in the large rehearsal space at my university - the same space that many of you have seen in my "Naruto - Sadness and Sorrow" video. ;)
