In January we released Jay Lamar & Jesse Oliver debut single "Diamonda" featuring a remix by Justin Faust who ended up toping every chart possible and played on so many clubs and mixtapes we couldn't count them. In return Jay Lamar & Jesse Oliver just remixed Justin Faust's track "High Hopes", from his 2011 top single "Girl Talk". We couldn't believe our ears!

Rebeka is an experimental pop phenomenon that the grapevine has been buzzing with even before their first official release.

And it all boils down to the explosive duet between a charismatic vocalist, Iwona Skwarek, and a compelling producer, Bartosz Szczesny. Homebrew disco, Chinese techno cooked up on a vintage keyboard bestowed eons of time ago at The First Communion.

This gifted twosome of an emerging generation is not to be limited to any musical boundaries. "The laser versus the axe," as they say of their music. "It won't be disco, rather resounding brass and diamonds."

"Stars" was mixed by Mirror People, who also did a club mix. Punks Jump Up delivered two remixes and Discotexas made an accoustic version!

SIN COS TAN is the band of ace producer Jori Hulkkonen and VILLA NAH’s Juho Paalosmaa. Having worked together previously on VILLA NAH’s superb debut album ‘Origin’ and on the track ‘Re: Last Year’ from Hulkkonen’s own ‘Man From Earth’ solo record, a further artistic union was almost inevitable. They made their live debut at Helsinki’s Flow Festival this summer 2012.

The superbly pulsating ‘Trust’ showcases the pair’s manifesto to be “a synthesized duo of great promise, broken dreams, and long nights”. Add in sweeping drifts, sharp widescreen cimbalom, danceable but subtle beats and emotive vocals tinged with sadness from Paalosmaa, what more could you want? ‘Trust’ could possibly be the song of 2012…

So while VILLA NAH take a sabbatical and Hulkkonen wears yet another hat (other  monikers have included ZYNTHERIUS, ACID SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, KEBACID, DRUMMAN, STOP MODERNISTS and THE TANIA & JORI CONTINENTS!), SIN COS TAN is now the big hit!

As the Year One in the life of Sin Cos Tan draws towards a closure, we would like to thank everyone who supported us by coming to our shows, bought our music, or even followed us on social media. 

With the holiday season approaching we thought it was appropriate to share something a bit special. It's a song not written by us, but when we realized it was a favourite for both of us, we wanted to try to cover it. We didn't include it on the album, but felt that the world might be in the mood to absorb this during these end of the year weeks.
