Heather Maxwell produces and hosts the award-winning radio program “Music Time in Africa” and is the African Music Editor for the English to Africa Service for the Voice of America. Heather holds a Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology with specialization in African Music, and has lived and traveled extensively in Africa. Dr. Maxwell is also an accomplished jazz and Afrojazz vocalist, recording and performing in Africa and the U.S. since 1987.
