Welcome back. This weekend we would like to share mix from Alin, also known as GA.nea, hails from Cluj-Napoca, Romania. He's a young DJ who fell head over heels for groovy minimal beats. It all began four years ago when he started spinning tunes for friends, intimate gatherings, and simply for his own enjoyment. Inspired by the vibrant underground party scene in Romania, his passion gradually transformed into a full-fledged DJ career.
His music is a reflection of his dynamic personality; always ready to hit the dance floor yet unafraid to delve into the realms of electronic and darker beats. Drawing inspiration from nature, people, places, and films, Alin crafts music that takes listeners on a transcendent journey of vibrant vibrations and vivid sounds, akin to a dream-like experience.

BSV: Welcome to the team Bogdan and big thanks for the submission! How are you today?
OLARU: Hello and thank you for the invitation. I hope you like my DJ set. I'm fine, I started working on a new EP.

BSV: Micro house or minimal? What’s your journey?
OLARU: Difficult question, it depends on my mood, but I think micro house is the base. Few years ago I started to explore this style of music, it was mind-opening for me.

BSV: We saw in your portfolio that you did a warm up for Stefano Noferini. How was that experience?
OLARU: It was a great party, I'm a big Stefano Noferini fan, he's an exceptional person, in the same evening Just2 and Luca M were also there, so yes, it was something special for me.

BSV: Very unique vibes with this mixtape. How was this mix recorded?
OLARU: It was recorded in the studio together with some friends. I really like to use music to translate my feelings, I like to create a story where listeners can dream.

BSV: Are you going to Berlin often?
OLARU: Not really, I prefer London, Barcelona. But I don't rule out Berlin, and I think you can find the best techno there.

BSV: If you take a look into your folders, which DJ is the most frequently present?
OLARU: I don't have a specific producer, clearly many Romanian producers, such as Bryz, Nu Zau, Barac, and many others.

BSV: Bandcamp type of person?
OLARU: I personally don't use it much, I collaborate with several music production companies, but I have moments when I listen and discover very good artists.

His passion for music led him to explore various genres, from hip-hop to house, ultimately shaping his signature minimal sound.
Naghen's emergence onto the nightlife scene at 18 was fueled by an insatiable curiosity for the boundless possibilities within electronic music. Since then, he has graced the stages of renowned festivals such as Inspire Festival, Fireball Festival, and Saga Festival, along with numerous prestigious events including Mic.rohouse parties in Bucharest and Resonance Showcases. His performances, characterized by a fusion of real instruments with electronic beats, have garnered him recognition and opportunities to share the stage with established artists like Lizz, Cosmjn, and Nu Zau, among others.
