"I'm Afraid Of Everything" b/w "feelgooddesperation" is a glimpse into ...music video?'s future, where the alluring voice of Paul Jenkins and a bangin' backbeat relax on a bed of lush noise. "I'm Afraid Of Everything" hearkens back to a time when recorded music could only be heard with a needle on a record, where guitar chords wept, and where a slow jam could break someone's heart. It's an all-out groove, complete with harmonies and wah-wah that shimmers with the reflected light of a disco ball. "feelgooddesperation" is a remix/collaboration that juxtaposes the aptly-titled instrumental ...music video?  track "postrockfeelgoodsongofthemillenium" with the mournful lyrics of fellow Tucson band Musica Obscura 's "Desperation."   Piano and shifting, energetic noise blend with soulful vocals to create a haunting yet uplifting soundtrack for this new decade.

"I'm Afraid of Everything" shows the way Jenkins, McCanse, and Miller transfer the desert heat into cool harmonies and rhythms. If I'm Afraid of Everything is any indication, ...music video? is headed fast toward a prominent place on permanent playlists everywhere--- both the one inside your head and the ones outside.

Perhaps the track that gets the group compared the most to The Postal Service, The Day I Exploded was actually inspired by the clickity glitchy pop sensibilities of Icelandic group múm.  Possibly the happiest sounding track ...music video? ever made, with twinkly synths and guitars a'plenty.

Possibly considered a favorite because of it's 'anthemic chorus,' or perhaps due to the loud guitars that are absent from most of the rest of the band's catalog, Tonight is unique in its less linear lyrical format, opting not for lines, but one continuous run-on sentence, at least for the first verse, (also part of the 2nd verse).  Also features one of, if not their only guitar-noise solo as the song reaches it's crescendo into the final chorus.

No Things Happen For Reasons

One of the favorites of Fireproof Your TV, Lost at Sea in a way sort of encapsulates the mood of the entire album into one song.  A quiet yearning, or perhaps the feeling of 'still not having found what you're looking for,' if you'll excuse the allusion. Features an anthemic, shoegazery chorus, albeit without any actual lyrics. Also features a drum-break section to snap you out of whatever trance you may have been lulled into. Influenced by Broken Social Scene's Cause = Time, especially the line, "it hasn't snowed since 85," a tweak of Kevin Drew's "I've been alone since 89."

...music video?, originally comprised of songwriter Paul Jenkins and producer Wes McCanse, was formed in Tucson, Arizona. In 2004, they released their first album; fireproof your tv, which won runner-up for Album of the Year at Tucson Weekly. They followed with 2007's now that my tv has wings i'll never be lonely. In 2009, the duo became a trio, teaming up with multi-instrumentalist and long-time friend, Justin Miller.

With influences drawing from electronic music, pop, and rock ...music video?'s full sound has been compared to such acts as Air, The Flaming Lips, M83 and The Postal Service. As an unofficial act at SXSW in 2008, the band caught the attention of NPR's music producer Robin Hilton, who would soon feature them on their program, Second Stage. The following year, the band received an official SXSW showcase.

...music video? has consistently been recognized by Tucson Weekly as their city's best electronic act. Such local support, along with a widespread Internet fan base, continues to help their audience grow.

Striving to blur the line that separates noise from pop, ...music video? are convinced they could become the next big thing, if they could simply get one of their songs into Zach Braff's next movie.

The band is currently writing and recording their highly anticipated third LP.
