Every year MusicNT releases a compilation album featuring tracks from the bands performing at the Bush Bands Bash. This year there are tracks from Eastern Reggae, Creekside Reggae Band, D7'z Hill Boyz & E-Town Boyz, Iwantja, Desert Mulga, Pukatja St Reggae Band, Tjintu Desert Band and Rayella.

The Sounds of Wiluna compilation CD is the product of a professional recording and song production tuition project, conducted in Wiluna by the West Australian Music Industry Association (WAM) over 10 days in June 2011. 
Wiluna is a remote town in the Mid West region of Western Australia. It is situated on the edge of the Western Desert at the gateway to the Canning Stock Route and Gunbarrel Highway, approximately 1,000kms North East of Perth. Within Wiluna exists a talented music community. Wiluna’s extreme isolation is a barrier for it’s local musicians to engage in many opportunities, afforded musicians and songwriters in capital cities and larger regional centres.
The compilation CD features six tracks, traversing the genres of Country Rock, Hip Hop, Gospel and the unmistakeable desert Reggae Rock sound by musicians based around the centre of Wiluna. In many of the songs traditional Martu indigenous language is used in lyrical content. Combined with English and a Gospel track in a Fijian dialect, the Sounds of Wiluna CD, truly has a multicultural feel.

Heralding a groundbreaking direction for WAM’s critically applauded Sounds Of series, we’re excited to announce the Sounds Of The Pilbara II: Songs in Language compilation CD is now ready to take listeners on a unique journey through some of WA’s ancient languages. Performed by Indigenous people from the Pilbara, this landmark recording project features a range of original songs (from country to contemporary) and sung stories (including heartfelt and inspiring tales and fables passed on down through generations).

With promoting the preservation of Aboriginal languages, culture and history of paramount importance to this project, Sounds Of The Pilbara II proudly showcases five Indigenous languages from WA’s Pilbara region, including Nyiyaparli, Nyangumarta, Nyamal, Ngarluma and Kurrama. Recorded over three weeks in a temporary studio in South Hedland, the compilation features 26 original tracks, and the involvement of 14 contributing vocalists and over 40 students from the Strelly community school (Warralong and Strelly campuses).

Alongside major partners Celebrate WA and Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation, WAM would like to thank BHP Billiton, Pilbara Development Commission, Pilbara Ports Authority and Horizon Power for their support in this project, plus acknowledge the in-kind support from Soundtown, Rio Tinto Dampier Salt and the Town of Port Hedland.
