Seeing the interstate circuit beginning to turn in Melbourne means the return of one of Sydney’s stalwart DJs, IV Drip. Ivy is radio host (Nomad Radio), events organiser (Headroom), expert mix curator (NTS, Animalia) and critical fixture in the Nectar family. Inherent to being part of the Nectar crew, is their commitment movement toward gender equality in the electronic music community. Ivy’s commitment to her community shines both on and off the stage - always tinkering away and bringing multiple creative projects to life, she’s undoubtedly drawn to creating spaces that keep Sydney’s nightlight alive. Beyond her backstage prowess, Ivy and IV Drip’s mixes have always left me floored. Luckily her in demand skills as a DJ and artist have landed her an ongoing slot on Nomad radio, where she has recently transitioned from presenting her show ‘Thanks for Sharing’ to newly founded ‘Home Time’ where she explores Australian music bounded by no sound. For time now, Ivy's been sending mixes on platforms like Pi pi pi, animalia, vortex, neurocrank, and more.
These are some of my fav series online and trust that Ivy's producing A++ results with always dynamic and headspinnin twists. Case in point here, is Ivy's recent mix at Techworld festival. It's 3 hours of deep dives, rockin' drums, and freaky cuts up on SC for your listening pleasures. Ivy also boosts a series of her own titled Thanks for sharing featuring local artists like Freda, Vonikus, lizzynice and more.

Tonight's edition includes a half hour from a recent wigwam show with ricky & alba followed by broken rhythms and spiralling melodies from Ivy.

As a DJ, Minor Science draws on years of experience to craft sets that are controlled in form and bold in content. Having performed at venues as diverse as Panorama Bar and the Bang Face Weekender, the average Minor Science set can do heads-down mindwarp, maximalist rave meltdown, or (often) both. 

Minor Science has presented his Absent Friends live show at events such as Intonal and Maerzmusik. Emotive and absorbing, these performances explore themes of psychedelia and togetherness via improvised performance and deft four-deck mixing.
