As we near our podcast quarter-century, we thought we'd give you something totally exclusive and very special. Our next podcast comes from Musk, who are signed to their own label LGDZ, based in Berlin. This podcast features all their own material, some released and some unreleased, jam-packed into a would be live set. Keep on an eye on these guys, they are sure to be going places. 

Musk are Lennart Döring and Gerald Zollner. They met in Berlin's nightlife and started to work together in 2009. Together they went through the history of dance music. In 2012 those influences emerged into their first release "925" on LGDZ that is distributed via Innervisions. Shortly after that "Dance Dance Dance" was released. The disco anthem was a cooperation with the British singer Helen Salvin from Manchester.

While always working together in the studio, on stage they are separated:
Gerald is a Vinyl-DJ and plays Everything from Disco over Proto-House to modern Releases. Lennart on the other hand plays a Live-Set with Ableton Live, where he works with the material of nearly four years of studio work that he produced with Gerald.

Matthew Herbert, Rolando, Rick Wade and DJ Sneak. That's just a bundle of names who've released on UK house label Hudd Traxx since Slum Science (Eddie Leader, Danny White and Dan Ruck) sparked it into life in 2005.

Huddersfield-based (the clue's in the name, really), the label's synonymous with fresh-flavoured jams geared towards the dancefloor, while its mix series on SoundCloud, Huddcast, guarantees you'll be frantically trying to hunt down track IDs.

Borrowed Identity is a chameleon in the electronic music scene. You can catch him playing a groovy house set or he can turn up and bang out uncompromising industrial techno if that’s the vibe of the night.

His sets are mostly a mix of house, techno, disco/funk and afrobeat but he can also focus on one sound and take the crowd in one direction when the dancefloor needs it. He tries to give the crowds he is playing for everything they need to let go and lose their minds, thats why he doesn’t stick to one sound like so many Djs at the moment with their one dimensional styles. Instead of creating an easy to promote image as a DJ he is trying to catch the vibe in every venue and goes with the flow of the people.

Borrowed Identity has already played many of the renowned clubs in Europe and most parts of the world. He also already released all kinds of sounds and styles on important labels like Let’s Play House, Ostgut Ton, Mistress and Quintessentials.

Today, Borrowed Identity maprovides a hypnotic remix of Miajica's 'Der Schlosser' for the very very late hours of a party.

'The art of waiting' mix by Rampa

Stuttgart based producer Leif Müller’s makes his debut release on Japanese "Mule Musiq" after an ep last year on Relax 2000 Records.His best friend Konstantin Sibold brought these fantastic music to Mule Musiq.
“Fantastique”, here premiered, on a-side is a Chicago influenced modern german house with a dash of french vocals, "Holidays Everywhere”on b1 is an hypnotic tech-house cut which reminds us the production of  Roman Flugel. Finally, “Leguan” on b2 is an excellent collaboration with his pal Konstantin Sibold, the latter being responsible with "Mutter" of a track that was a pillar in LYO's 2016 dj sets !

Lennart Döring and Gerald Zollner are music and MUSK. The artist duo hailing from Berlin readies their next stroke of genius underlining the both's self-esteem or simply the mathematical eigenvalue. After Last Reason the duo is about to drop their second single, Eigenvalue, from their upcoming album Machine Takeover – a visionary approach technical influence on societies. The latter is musically embodied by Eigenvalue, a futuristic piece of synthy music that makes one prove its worth or your Eigenvalue. The hypnotic chords, the alternating volume, the glitches almost taking an Acid-ish direction before pads from the back are maneuvered to the foreground, almost, because the lead-synth takes over and is supported by a pushy clap. These two producers clearly know how to draw attention to a basically steady tonal sequence of chords by adding several gadgetry that lure the listener each time into a different direction when not changing (musical) lanes. A musical piece of sophisticated sound-design – the duo clearly knows their eigenvalue. 

MUSK's single Eigenvalue will be released on LGDZ on June 5th, 2020.

EXCLUSIVE: MUSK - Eigenvalue [LGDZ]

This is a tribute to the legendary musician and composer Arthur Russel † 4. April 1992, who established himself in New York’s vibrant downtown music scene of the 1970s as an eccentric chameleon. Two days ago i have refound his music in my collection and now i can't stop to listen his music. Without knowing this was exactly on the 25th anniversary of his dead. So i really feel to introduce you Russell’s brilliant, gentle sound and wide variety of experimental and popular genres. Love always ♥
