Bringing together some of the most talked about young jazz musicians in recent times, Mustard Pie comprises Mark Holub and Seb Rochford on drums and Liran Donin and Tom Herbert on bass who are known mainly as the rhythm sections of Mercury nominated bands Polar Bear and Led Bib. This incarnation sees them link up with true British jazz legend Jan Kopinski of Pinski Zoo on sax and electronics. 

Originally conceived as a one off improvised gig for Mark Holub's curated Spitalfields Summer Stew, the creativity and interest which accumulated from the gig inspired the group to make it a more regular occasion. Moving from gritty funk, squeeling sax to eerie electronics, these five jazz individualists create a formidable improvised session which will no doubt be carved into the psyche of their audience long after the instruments are packed away.
