A powerful and inspiring advice to the youth at Westminister University about the importance of following the Sunnah and staying away from deviations.

This lecture was based upon the immense statement of Imam Malik who died 179 after the Hijrah who said "The Sunnah is like the Ark of Noah. Whoever boards it is saved (or reaches salvation) and whoever refuses is drowned"
The statement which should be written in gold revolves around the importance of the Sunnah of the Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wasalam) and the obligation upon the Muslims to follow it. If you are or know someone who thinks the Sunnah is something that is not obligatory upon them then you need to hear this talk!

• Explanation of the 10th Hadīth - The Answered Supplication

From Abū Hurayrah (raḍiyallāhu ʿanhu) who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wasallam) said, "Verily Allāh is tayyib (good, pure) and does not accept but that which is ṭayyib, and Allāh commanded the Believers that which He commanded the Messengers, so He, the Exalted said, "O Messengers, eat of the good and wholesome and work righteous deeds", and the Exalted said, "O you who believe, eat of the good and wholesome things we have provided you with." Then he mentioned (the case) of a man on a long journey with dishevelled hair, covered with dust, raising his hands to the sky, (saying), 'O Lord, O Lord...' yet his food is (from and with the) unlawful, his drink is (from and with the) unlawful, his clothing is (from and with) the unlawful and his nourishment is (from and with the) unlawful, so how will he be answered?"
